my galaxy s2 doesnt start.... i dont know why... it doesnt get charged... besides nothing happens when the charger is connected... a guy here told me that i got my phone hard bricked.... and to use a usb jig.... i am making one now, i just wanted to ask if anyone here has used the usb jig method... if so the method works and i can see my phone in download mode... will it be required to flash it again or will it be on the rom i was previously before? help me out seriously nervous ...
If the phone is hardbricked the is no use for USB Jig.
If the Jig works, then you'll have to flash a new firmware.

I have this problem:
Plugging USB Cable:
-charges the phone if plugged during restarting
-replugging the USB while turned on will not charge the phone
-won't bring up the USB screen (works before though)
-it doesnt say "USB not recognized" but it doesn't say anything at all
-works if in Download mode (I can even flash roms)
-won't mount in recovery mode
Plugging a wall charger
-charges the phone if plugged during restarting
-replugging will no longer charge the phone. (This is the most annoying part, I have to restart just to charge the phone)
I have tried on both Cyanogen and Litening ROMs, same behavior
I have the Korean Galaxy S2

phone hard bricked after flashing the korean firmware... HELP !! T__T
Hi there is it possible that that someone could mess up a samsung galaxy s2 by flashing an incorrect rom to it?
I bought one second had and the phone chrges fine but always says device not recognised when plugged in via usb.
Thanks rob
Yes, of course. If you flash wrong, your phone can brick. Try to flash an original rom without mods, using Odin, and see how your phone behaves. If it's ok, with the USB connection working, then you flash a custom rom and can really expect it to be fully functional.
hi guys help and advice much needed.. ok so i dropped my phone in water, it worked apart from i couldn't get signal and the charging port is broke, which is okay for now. Im not sure if the lack of signal was due to the antena thing being corroded so i tried to root and flash a stock rom with the method of doin it straight from sd card... its now briked my phone... is there anyway to unbrick my phone without the need of a usb cable and computer connection..
Are you serious? You can't screw up your phone in more ways than you already have. You're hosed dude.

What "method"? Do you mean you used mobile odin?
It just sounds like the kernel you have doesnt support the rom or you flashed wrong stock rom etc. This is not "bricked".
A bricked device is when your phone will not physically power on or system will not boot and its not possible to enter/use download/recovery modes.
It sounds like your going to need to get your USB port fixed so you can flash correct kernel/rom via download mode, and no there is no magic words you can use.
Your gonna have to change the usb flex, that's the proper name for what you are calling "Charging Port".
You can still go into Download Mode right? You just can't plug your device to your PC.
You might possibly need a new phone

no i put it on my sd card to root then put cm rom on now it just gets stuck at the boot screen..and yes i can still go into to download manager the phone just wont charge or connect to pc
haha yes ive have a galaxy ace for now but i love my s2 thought id try to fix it
Usb flex change.
im not too sure what a flex change is..
You don't know what it is because you are calling it "Charging port"
My phone (galaxy ace) got bricked while installing a custom rom and my father took it to a friend of him, he told that it is not coming in download mode and they are stating it as a hardware problem. I heard of a thing usb jig, would it be able to help me and one more thing is a usb jig different for each and every phone or you just pivk any jig, plug it into your phone and it would come into download mode?
Hey guys,
My Galaxy s3 is pretty much useless at the moment. I had it rooted a while back and decided to unroot it. I used Odin and the stock rom for telus galaxy s3 sgh-i747m. Odin did its job and showed it was done successfully, however the phone never booted back up even with holding the combo buttons (VolumeUp+home+power). Also my computer cannot detect the phone driver via usb cable showing QHSUSB_DLOAD, but it does make a beeping sound when connecting it or holding the combo keys while it's plugged in via usb cable.
I used a usb jig hoping it would get it to boot into download mode but no luck. I can take it for a JTAG and get it fixed, but since I screwed up I rather spend some more time and learn to fix it myself. A friend mentioned about QPST in order to get it to download mode and using a similar stock rom reprogram the phone, which I'm not familiar with.. anyone can give me a hint how to go bout this your help is much appreciated
If you need more info or i missed something please let me know...
