Deal of a lifetime!!! - Motorola Photon 4G

I have the deal of a life time phone geeks!!!
$349.99 will get you a dual core phone that will NEVER receive any updates of any kind. Even if a security flaw is found that allows for the theft of all your data....NO UPDATE FOR YOU. Even if every other manufacturer (except Micromax) has updated their Tegra2 phones.... NO UPDATE FOR YOU. And if you are stupid enough to buy now, we will throw in a car dock for FREE! So what do you say!
"So how stupid do you think I am?"
For $599.99 will get you can get yet another dual core phone that will NEVER receive any updates of any kind. And if you are stupid enough to buy now, we will even charge you the original price of $59.99 for that cardock!
As of this post the Electrify and Photon are still being sold by Motorola as current phones even though they have abandoned both phones. Nowhere in the item description is it stated that the phones are no longer supported by Motorola.

It will get even funnier if you pass it along to your State Attorney General's Office, FTC and Sen. Al Franken. Selling them as current devices even though they are discontinued/EOL'd by the carriers and unsupported with regards to security updates is shady at best.

The new head of Motorola talks about earning our trust and but gives us nothing but meaningless PR about how Motorola is changing. Someone needs to sue them if at all possible. Maybe we could sue for the source to the atrix leak, I know someone managed to threaten HP into releasing source when they accidentally left android on a few touchpads. Motorola might have to state that it was an actual hack that caused the leak, if it was an employee(most likely) then they might be legally required to provide source code. I could be way off though, the GPL is somewhat murky when it comes to this.

That's part of the point I was trying to make. You would have no idea that these phones are pretty much abandoned unless you already knew about all the BS moto pulled. Nobody from moto is even responding to this so I contacted cnet again and pretty much got a "you're kidding, right". Except for the fanboys, and those that don't do their research, I think the industry/comsumers has pretty much written Moto off at this point.

Not sure Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for the Photon

It is with great sadness and anger that our "investment" of my much beloved Photon 4G will not be getting Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). I found out today when I decided to engage Motorola to find out if the Photon 4G will get the update. (See Screenshot of the Chat). So unless CyanogenMod gives us a custom ROM, we just got shafted by Motorola.
UPDATE:
It now appears to be a definite "maybe". Attached is a another screenshot from Moto's Forums. I know I'm getting slack for posting this, but common someone had to look into this. Don't shoot the messenger!
Side Note:
Regardless of where these "reps" are located, these people are suppose to represent Motorola. If they can't get their answers straight then its a bad reflection on the company.

i talked with a sprint employee today and they said the galaxy nexus WILL NOT be coming to sprint. so being rather upset about it i asked about the iphone 5 and they told me there is no such thing and there are no plans for it.
so not only did i learn that the packing slip showing the galaxy nexus for sprint was wrong, but apple is no longer going to be making iphones.
just figured id post that info in here rather than starting my own thread.
but on a serious note moto reps are told nothing that they dont need to know, just the same as everyone else
Haha. Funny man . Well since no information was out there regarding the update, I went the route of inquiring with them. I really hope that they were wrong, but right now (unless someone can get a different answer from them) this will be fact and I'll wait for a port over.

I think that once the photon gets it's fully unlocked bootloader development will really take off as right now not a lot of people are willing to unlock their phone. Also we got two different guys working on CM7.1 so I would be shocked if we don't having people jumping on CM8 when the source is dropped. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it, we'll get it and hopefully without motoblur(CM8).
This is very disappointing news if it turns out to be true. I have wanted this phone since it was announced, I have loved it since I bought it. I have been able to get over the locked bootloader but it would be very frustrating if ICS is denied to this phone and especially since I have to wait 20 some months before my next equipment discount.
This really means nothing, those are the first supported devices that they are planning for. Motorola already tweeted saying that other devices will get ICS within 6 weeks of Google's push.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/10/24/motorola-speaks-up-about-ice-cream-sandwich-updates-razr-bionic-and-xoom-to-be-the-first-will-confirm-more-later/
Those reps work in a damn call center. I find no merit in this thread or the rep you spoke to. As a previous poster stated, they are only given information they need to do their job...which is answer phones or messages and they rarely do that right! Besides, motorola would make this type of information official on their own, not through some jerk off answering IMs
Need I mention the MoPho has all the specs required under the hood to run ICS...time will tell

Hey buddy you don't have to be all hostile. I only relayed what they said. They represent Motorola and at this time this is the only fact they've given out regarding the fate of the Phone. If you find "No Merit" on this thread they why bother chiming in?
I'm on a FACT finding mission here because we owners want the latest OS. Yes this phone has the specs to do it I agree with you there, but someone in Motorola needs to take this Phone serious and come out with a timeline or something to let us know what is going on. Unfortunetaly this has close to official that I was able to get.
Lol all I have to say is your 100% correct the agents at moto do not know when software updates. The only way ill believe anything is if a Dev from Moto says so. This is from The knowledge of actually working in a call center. They wont know **** lol

Nearly every phone I have researched on Android has gotten one upgrade from where it started, and some have gotten two. This phone started GB, it'll eventually get ICS. There simply has not been an official announcement yet, and I have a feeling the call center won't know anything until we do. Also, there isn't an iphone 5 YET. There's no way Apple will give up on such a popular gold mine. I just have a feeling call centers deal in official, announced information, not rumors. ICS for photon and iphone 5 release and Sprint Nexus Prime are all rumors at this point. A call center saying no doesn't mean anything.
Lol! Hostile? Bud, I wasn't being hostile toward you...all I'm saying is those morons don't know jack. We will have our ICS....Don't fret my little 'MoPho'ers!

i have to agree that if you think that little peon answering the phone knows anything but how to connect you to support in India you are sadly mistaken
I don't care if gets ICS, I love the way it runs with GB! It has been the best experience with android in a phone after HTC Hero, Moment, EVO, Nexus s and ET4G.

If we don't get the official release of ICS for Photon maybe coz Photon sold by Sprint carrier. You should ask Sprint rather than Motorola coz the update will be made if Sprint ask Motorola support.
But I'm pretty sure we will get ICS official or not coz someone must be on to it.
Don't worry Mophon owners about lack devs. We will be get ICS before new year

I thought Google had some rule (for lack of a better way of putting it) that states that manufacturers and carriers have to support Android phones for 18 months. But I guess that doesn't necessarily mean that OS upgrades are part of the deal.

BestBuy says "They ain't exactly flying off the shelves"

Noticing a whole stack of them in the case at a local Bestbuy, I asked 2 store managers and 2 other dept employees about the new Razr. They ALL said it was a non-event, although Motorola had invested $mils in advertising. Evidently, it was designed and put into production months ago, and nowadays that's just not quick enough for the Android market. Things simply evolve much faster than Motorola's bureaucracy can adjust.
Biggest reason customers put it back on the shelf: Soldered in, non-replaceable battery.
Reason #2 : The screen is a yawner. It's boring, old news.
Reason #3 : It's new, it's gonna have bugs, and customers simply don't have to put up with that.
#4: $299 w/contract - and you're stuck with it for 2 years.
Is this phone locked? Can it be flashed? Just curious - one of them told me it can't be rom'ed. Would Mot be that monopolistic ?
According to one of the phone-dept workers, a good chunk of sales have been returned overnight after a disappointing unboxing/testing.
Frankly, I thought the phone was a pretty solid piece of work - especially compared to the plastic Samsungs. I love it's little slots on the side for XD cards, NICE touch. But alas, the screen is, well, is just isn't. Not with the 1200x800's about to hit around Thanksgiving.
Oh well, one of them said Mot's is already planning a Razr-2 in Jan to fix all this stuff, but now they're behind the power curve. Who knows.
I think Amazon offering the phone for $111.11 or Costco including $100+ in extras is why Best Buy isn't selling many.

This.
Also the phone needs recovery at this point I believe. It can certainly be "Rom-ed" but it just can't be "Kernel'ed". That is a pretty lame deal breaker if you want a phone simply to install different kernels to boost your quadrant scores that no one cares about.
If you ask me I agree the phone is amazing, I love it. The screen is mind blowing to me, so I have no problem paying that and being in a contract for it. I guess one needs to consider all the options customers have at this point, mainly with the iphone on verizon now. Every average jo wants an iphone just cause his neighbor has one.
Anyone true tech enthusiast wouldn't buy from Best Buy LOL (I've went there with a friend that insisted I do for Black Friday). That place is terrible and is a total rip off. Geek squad and the employees (I haven't spoke to a single one that seems to know what they're doing/talking about) yeah they're something else. I highly doubt there's going to be a RAZR 2 coming out in Jan, it's probably the DROID 4, which has similar design but also has a physical keyboard. If it definitely is the the RAZR 2 this will be my last Motorola phone period. If their solution is to just make a new device like 2-3 months later, instead of supporting their most current phones, then that's a bad business model for sure.
Sure there probably will be a RAZR 2, but I personally hope not, seeing it would kinda tarnish the fact that it's a unique device/name series. But yeah with Amazon selling the device for 111.11 on 11/11 and Costco with that beast package, and a good majority of people pre ordering to get the phone early (one day w00t). It's not a surprise that Best Buy isn't pushing the phones like hotcakes. Also I would take anything that Best Buy tells you about Android rumors with a grain of salt.
I wouldn't go to best buy if they were the ONLY brick and mortar selling phones. I'd wait the 2 days for UPS.
Anyone with good common sense wouldn't go to BB for their phones even with their instant rebate deals. Their "insurance" plan is a rip off and the fact Amazon was selling it for 111.11 on the day of release (as someone said earlier) is reason enough for BB to not see this phone flying off shelves.
Add to the fact, all the advertising dollars Verizon spent, pointed to the phone being sold BY VERIZON STORES. I have a friend who works for verizon and she sold out of the RAZR within a couple hours and her store had a couple hundred of them.
SO don't go drinking Best Buy's kool aid. Especially when they know nothing of phones (let alone the products they sell as a whole)
the OP is completely full of crap... so is anyone else that says the removable battery is a "no go". did the soldered in battery hurt Iphone?
the screen on this phone is fantastic, anyone who wants to complain about it is a person that will never be happy with anything.
bugs? this is the least buggy phone that i have ever owned.
im nowhere near a moto fan boy, but these complainers need to jus STFU, the Razr is a sweet phone.......

I lol'd. BB is terrible for computers/phones etc (Newegg for life!). Anyways the fact that they're saying there's a RAZR 2 coming out in like 4 months yeahhh no. Droid 4 probably aka RAZR jr w/ a keyboard, will be nice for those that crave physical keyborads. But I doubt moto is gonna pull another "Bionic" deal with the RAZR. Replacing their flagship so soon after it comes out, I'm trying to retain faith lol.

I don't think so. Motorola have learnt this from his past. Milestone was buggy.. but watch at the first ATRIX ROM: there wasn't any important bug at all. They've only enhanced its speed with the updates as personally I haven't noticed any bug.
And anyway, every first S/W version of every pda has got some bugs, that's absolutely normal, with the exception that Motorola is very fast at updates.

This device is another exception in Motorola's policies. Moto uses to sign their devices forever, but as Moto said and confirmed publicly, like happened on ATRIX for the Gingerbread update, when RAZR will get ICS, Moto will give us an unlockable bootloader, thing that is SURE for non branded devices and for branded ones (like Verizon's...) it's about the operator.

I know of some guys that have bought the RAZR, unboxed, tested for 30 minutes and then re-sold it. It was too big for their hands. I don't know other bad things as for now.
Anyway, in my opinion, you should try the device in a store prior buying it, especially if it is a big device and you've got small hands.

That would cut their RAZR sales and make them lose a lot of money.

Yes! Cause we all know that Best Buy store employees are always right !!!!
Since I agree with most of these Bestbuy comments, I made a trip over to the Verizon store. Hit 3 actually, one is the largest in the state. Guess what - there were dozens of new razr's in stock there too.
Not convinced, I asked around, speaking to 3-4 employees in each store. They all said the same thing the Bestbuy people did - the phone is a 7 month old semi face lift of some earlier Mot phone, and simply put nobody cares for it and nobody's impressed. Same list of complaints earlier in this thread.
"What's everybody waiting for" I asked? Everyone said the same thing: the high res screens that are about to hit. Namely the SAMSUNG Nexus is the first of a long list of new generation phones, we may see 6-7 by EOY they told me

[SOLVED!] Tips on scoring a different phone from Verizon?

Off late I've been really pissed by my phone. I had to factory reset my phone a couple times this week and I very frequently find my phone struggling even with CM7. I really doubt it helped it too much, though I must admit it was better with it.
So, I am hoping I can go all out on the Customer service (I don't mean shouting at them, but use all skill available) to wrestle a different phone from them. Definitely not Droid 3 (I hate keyboards), but what do you think I could get if I tried real hard?
And what tips do you guys suggest me to use?

You'd have to come up with quite the case to force Verizon to ship you a new device. You'd probably have to have gone through 3 or more X2's and have a multitude to problems consistent across each replacement phone. Then, your convos with every rep must be perfect...
You need a miracle.

lol. I don't deny one bit that I need a miracle here. I am half expecting that I win some raffle and get a Galaxy Nexus! I really need to win some lottery or something, but then again such great things never happened to me!
As far as an early upgrade goes, I think Verizon stopped doing that not too long ago. I may be wrong though. But when they did, you had to be kind of close to your upgrade date and you had to shell out almost full price for the phone.
I have been riding thier arsses since Nov. about signal and wifi issues with my X2 went through 3 phones with them .Today they gave me a bionic and a multi mediadock (the good 1) and a new car dock. I had gotten in on a price mishap on verizon.com and ordered a accy.package for 19.99 reg price 99.99 anyway I would have had the bionic a month ago but I held out for the accy's too.
Call them every couple of days and complain . Make sure you get transferd to a higher tier. If all else fails ask to be transferd to "Customer Retention" and state your case to them.
just tell them you are willing to pay for an upgrade, nothing but issues with the x2 blah blah blah, talk money, keep talking money, that's all they wanna hear really is cash, so you'll probably have to pay, but it should be possible if you offer money....oh yeah, money, money money....just have someone stand near you saying money every couple seconds and they will give you what you want lol....see the pattern?

I would be very surprised if by 2013 Motorola doesn't have some type of unlocking program/procedure available.
then again, no I wouldn't
For me, April will be too late if they even do start unlocking bootloaders. My upgrade is in January and I'm sure I will be moving on to an HTC. I'm ok with that.

I was looking at the HTC Rezound, but now I'm beginning to lean towards the Galaxy Nexus 32gb model. No SD card, but 32gb of internal memory is nothing to sneeze at! I know the Rezound has 16gb internal and then an SD card, but at least with the Samsung Galaxy, you get ICS out of the box.
I still don't know, though. I have to wait and see what is available come my upgrade.

Lol, right!!!
They gave me a new Charge in August, first call, no questions asked, in October I went back to x2, I offered y to pay for battery and back. After two replacements they keep offering nee early upgrades but I insist I shouldn't have to pay more money, just to have a phone that works...LOL
I'M going to try for a bionic replacement alternative again soon...
Life, just like Ash said earlier offer some sort of money...battery...etc
Good luck

I want to complain about having a fully functional phone that exceeds my expectations every day. I would also like to complain about not having a completely free update to my phone the exact second someone on the internet told me it would be avaliable. You know what? Stop fixing bugs Motorola. I want my software now otherwise a couple weeks down the road, I'll have nothing to complain about. And as a consumer, I always need something to complain about! Nothing is good enough for me! Rabble rabble rabble!
There you go, I just summarized this forum over the past couple weeks.

I have a Razr Maxx side by side with a Galaxy Nexus, and taking out all the politics and love/hate to their manufacturers, here is my evaluation of them as PHONES (ya know, thingies that make calls):
- Gnex - early ICS, tried more than 10 different ROMs until I settled for one that is just blazing fast. Battery - barely a day. Insufficient battery life, for my needs.
- Razr - Good hardware. Lots of trolling on forums, caused by Motorola's delays. Amazing battery, but without several ROMs to test, the only usable thing is an ICS leak that underperforms - sluggish, and no native SIP (no, I don't want it through 3rd party apps - Gnex's ICS has it. Period.).
I do have a 3200mAh battery for the Gnex. Lasts more than a day with it, but looks like a telephone with a disease. Or a very healthy brick.
At the end of the day, I like them both, but I just wish I had a Gnex with the Razr's battery.
I want to complain about ics leak 211 running great on my RAZR Maxx. ..but then I woke up and realised its as good as it selling. I read something today stating the RAZR/Maxx line gas outsold Verizon's iPhone 4s finally. Might not be much but that's a good foothold.
I like my razr, really much, he's like a son for me, the perfect son.
I just hate motorola, really hate..

None of your gripes happened after you bought your phones. Why would you buy a phone that did not meet your needs? And Android IS open source... to the manufacturers. You DO understand that Motorola is a business, right? They're not a non-profit organization serving some altruistic higher calling. They have one obligation- to sell phones, tablets, and accessories at a price that will generate a profit for the stockholders. That's it. They never promised an unlocked bootloader. They have, historically, given free updates to the folk who buy their phones.

They never put on they commercial that they have a locked bootloader and also i bought my phone when it was on sale so i took the offer and i didn't tought that it will have a locked bootloader (my naive thought, coming from a n1, was oh nice is an android i can do whather i want)
Also is true that a company doesn't have ony obbligation to give some nice support to their customers, but do you really think that people knowing that will ever buy something from them? I'm pretty sure that everyone here that are whining about the bootloader will NEVER suggest a motorola to their friend, parents etc.
They can make us happy without too much hassle, yet they still continue this way and i'm pretty sure that this thing influence the sales( last motorola quarter was not too good even though the razr and the droid 4 are awesome smartphones)
p.s they promised the bootloader unlock: http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...ockable-in-late-2011-where-carriers-allow-it/

Oh, where to begin...
Some guy on the internet says Motorola says they'll unlock the bootloader? Sorry... not official word, not corroborated, blah blah blah. About as believable as that guy who was posting bogus ICS pictures here for the last couple weeks.
Maybe you need to check your info... The Razr is the #1 selling smartphone at Verizon... even surpassing the iPhone.
I've had great support on all my Motorola phones (my Razr Maxx is my 4th). On this phone alone, I've had 2 updates, and ICS should be here shortly. On my last phone, it started on Eclair, was updated to Froyo, and then to Gingerbread. And in between and after, it's had other maintenance updates, too. What more do you want... a valet to charge it for you when it gets low?
I'm sorry that you didn't properly research your phone before you bought it. But whose fault is that? It's certainly not Motorola's.

Again, my last phone was updated from Eclair to Froyo to Gingerbread. You have no basis in claiming the Razr will not get Jellybean. Unless you have some proof... which I doubt.

Motorola's response about ICS

I called Motorola this morning regarding ICS spoke to them for a while got transfered etc, anyways the lady I spoke to last said the update did not get cancelled however for all I know she could have just told me that so I would shut up. She did also say she sent out a message to the delevopers regarding my concern. I told her about how Im not the only one with this issue and how theres more of us that have been waiting and we are about to give up hope. Do me a favor call them up 1-800-734-5870 lets jam their lines with our concern and HOPEFULLY they will actually start taking care of their customers.
I sent this email on the support page. I don't know if it will help any, but I guess it's worth a shot.
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is xxxxxxxxxx. I am a xx year old college student in xxxxxxx. My whole family (myself, my mother and father, and my sister) are on the same plan with Sprint. When our contract was up for renewal in the spring of 2012, I was the one who did all the research on phones for all of us to upgrade to. I extensively researched all of the options that Sprint offered at the time.
The biggest criterion that needed to be met was that the phone would be upgraded to Android 4.0 at least eventually. I wound up narrowing it down to the two options of the Motorola Photon 4g and the Samsung Epic 4g touch. When we got to the store to physically see the phones, I was still on the fence. What ended up tipping me over to the Photon side was the Sprint employees. The employees at Sprint recommended the Photon and my whole family decided to go with this phone. The phone is an excellent piece of technology and I have not regretted this decision in most regards.
I have, however, regretted the decision in one big way. Today I read the XDA Developers forums for the Photon 4g and was informed that the Photon was not going to get an upgrade. And I would like to make it known that this is NOT acceptable.
My family and I bought this phone on the premise that it would be getting Android 4.0. Were it not for this promise that was made by YOU, Motorola Mobility, this phone would not have even been in contention, and you would have lost out on a sale of 4 phones. But, as it was, the phone was to be updated to ICS.
But you reneged on that promise today. It turns out you lied to the masses and likely got many people to buy your phones because they met the criterion of an upgrade to ICS. You didn't deliver a full product.
Consider the following scenario: You buy a new car. This new car includes a wonderful warranty that protects you of any manufacturer defects for a certain period of time. A month after you drive the car off the lot, it breaks down and you need that warranty. But the company refuses to pay for your car to be fixed. The company did not deliver a full product that included all the promises made about it. This would NEVER be acceptable. But yet, it is somehow acceptable for you to go back on your promise to upgrade our phones to ICS.
There is still a large community of people who use the Photon 4G and are loyal to the phone. They all want ICS. But it's not coming.
In the future, my family and I will take these empty promises into consideration when getting new phones. It will certainly negatively affect the chances of us EVER purchasing a Motorola phone again.
Thanks,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hello friends!
This really sucks!!
6 months before, when I've bought Photon, Motorola officially stated that "Motorola Photon MB855 will get ICS update in Q3 2012", few months later they wrote that "ICS update will be ready in Q4", and now they simply cancelled rollout!
What kind of liars they are??
This is not just UNFAIR, this is FRAUD!
I've waited for so long, and now they say that I'm a fool!! And not me, also lots of people who use Photons and Atrixes!!
Dammit!
What can we do??

Well, I am VERY disappointed!!
Cause I've bought Atrix HD - used for a 5 minutes and... sold it out! Cause it badly lays in hand. And Photon. Photon is just perfect,
it's kickstand is magnificent not only to put it on table, but also to safely hold it in a hand.
****, how can phone, which was released only a year ago, already abandoned??
I have idea - we should write to Motorola Mobility support that cancelling ICS update is fraudulent,
and tell em to give us at least ICS tegra2 drivers for our developers!!

I'd be happy with them unlocking bootloaders but not breaking 4G -- then we can use a community ROM or perhaps CM10 or... You get the point though.
This sucks. I'm stuck with this POS phone that won't get upgraded because the insurance company didn't have any more of my Nexus S4g in stock. My S4g was an older phone and still got JB. How the hell can they expect people to continue to buy their products when they just throw the owner's under the bus.

its going to be difficult to do a class action lawsuit in the U.S. due to limits imposed by the Supreme Court. That was really one of the few ways of litigation to get the attention of companies. Its just too expensive for an individual consumer to take on a large company in anything other than small claims court.
On the other-hand, having Motorola defend a couple thousand small claims cases (some of which cannot be done by attorneys) will quickly become more expensive for them than the original ICS rollout.
It would be difficult to show that MM broke any contract by not providing ICS (dont think there are any guarantees for a software update), but it should be easy to prove that they materially harmed consumers with the 2.3.5 update from 2.3.4 that locked bootloaders.

F'ing this, so hard. I'm talking Long Dong Silver on a t-shirt of blow hard. I'm talking Stallone in Rambo hard. I'm talking Hard Knock Life Volume 1, 2 and 3. I'm talking Hard. I hate Motorola, and I hope someone farts in the office and its unbearable.
It would need to be approached by the State Attorney General's offices...with the position that in 2010 Moto Mob committed to upgrades as part of the Android Upgrade Alliance...and thereby profited from consumer's based on the public affirmation & marketing that Moto was committed to upgrade the devices they sold during that time.
Since the AG often acts to protect their states constituents...that would put a whole heap of pressure on Moto. Besides some major news outlet picking up the story, that's about our only shot...

http://googleblog.blogspot.de/2011/05/android-momentum-mobile-and-more-at.html
"So today we’re announcing that a founding team of industry leaders, including many from the Open Handset Alliance, are working together to adopt guidelines for how quickly devices are updated after a new platform release, and also for how long they will continue to be updated. The founding partners are Verizon, HTC, Samsung, Sprint, Sony Ericsson, LG, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Motorola and AT&T, and we welcome others to join us. To start, we're jointly announcing that new devices from participating partners will receive the latest Android platform upgrades for 18 months after the device is first released, as long as the hardware allows...and that's just the beginning. Stay tuned for more details."
As you can see the official google blog post is May 10, 2011.
Photon was officially released July 31, 2011 and thus would have qualified as a "new device" at the time of the May 10, 2011 official blogpost.
Other than the I/O announcement and press release you linked there's nothing from any of the "Update Alliance" partners after that. Find anything dated 2012.
after the I/O I dont think it was officially mentioned again.
Note how they say they'll do it if the "hardware allows." We know it will work but they'll use that as some copout!
If MOTO is reading about our rage on no ICS, they will count how many people are disappointed. Based on the number of reply in multiple threads here, it appears only few of us are fuming.
In the age of twitter, facebook and google+, we should be able to force Moto to treat the customers with respect and atleast keep their promise !
but .. numbers count.
