[Q][HELP]Fastboot Help!!! - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

My Device Xperia U (ICS), PC: Windows 8 Pro 64bit,
My phone is not staying in fastboot mode as needed to unlock bootloader.
I have searched XDA throughout, tried every thing but didnt work.
I tried manually installing drivers, but got error.
Tried installing fastboot drivers through flashtools but it also gives an error saying drivers not installed.
what should i do now?
When i connect my device to pc while holding volume up button, the blue light in LED bar glows just for 3-4 seconds and then disconnects.
Kindly hoping someone to help me out of this.

[Q] My Sony Xperia S won't boot in FastBoot mode !

Hi
when i power down my xperia s and keep the Volume Up button pressed and connect the USB cable to PC it's goes on FASTBOOT mode for just a 5 sec and then it Restart !!
it wont stay in fastboot mode and i cant install driver because of this problem !
any help and sorry for my bad English .
This is already being discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
You're not the only one.
By the way, I found a fix:
I ran the fastboot, etc, on a XP PC (or just a VM in my case). It worked like a charm. I installed the drivers, rebooted the VM and now I'm on a rooted and unlocked Xperia S.
it's work ...... thanks

Hi,
I just got my Sony Xperia S (on T-Mobile in the UK) and am having problems getting into fastboot mode. Unlike any of the reported issues I can find, I am not getting five seconds of fastboot before the system resets. In fact, I am not getting any fastboot at all. When I press volume up and plug the phone in via the USB cable, it does... nothing interesting. It simply goes straight to the Sony splash and then the charging screen.
I am on Windows 7, and can probably get access to a Vista machine for diagnostics, if it would help. XP may be a bit more tricky.
Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

To elaborate, I get no blue LED under any circumstances.
Try a different USB port maybe?
Did you turn on USB debugging on your S?

I've tried a few, but the USB port is definitely working - the phone is charging from it, just not entering fastboot mode.

Did you check if can be unlocked in the service menu. If your phone is branded they normally can't be unlocked and they will not enter fastboot at all.

That may be it. I can't get to the service menu thanks to an MMI error but if that's how it exhibits then it's plausible.
Is there any way around this? This phone is stuffed with bloat and I really want to get rid of it.

Im on tmobile uk and I cant get fastvoot AMD the reason for this os because its branded to T-Mobile so its sim locked and even if you sim unlock it, it means u still cant get bootloader unlocked until the test point method or something comes for us users

Hello I have an Xperia S, with bootloader locked and recently installed a ROOM in order to get the 6.A.1.2.55 with root.
Installed from a ZIP from recovery mode following this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2009672
Now when I try to do step 7 (flash kernel and Baseband) Using Flashtool, Im unable to enter to the mode; when the windows prompts me, I turn off the phone, press and hold Vol up connect the USB but nothing happens, only the Sony Logo and then the icon of charging battery, I also tried to turn off the phone while holding Power button + Vol up (at the same time) and get the 3 vibrations, but the same result when I connect, the logo and the charging animations/icon..( no LED of any color or anything)
Im using the latest Flashtool version (0.9.9.0) with the drivers intalled (even though Windows security constantly pestered me about not being able to identify the source and signture) on Windows 7 64 bits..
Thank you..
U can't use fastboot with locked bootloader
U need to unlock your bootloader first then u can flash kernels
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Yes, that I did know but the author of the ROOM doesn't have it unlocked either. Besides even if that, I'm still Unable to enter the mode, or is it because I uncheck "exclude kernel" that it doesn't enter the mode?

Trouble with odin...Please help

When my phone is in download mode, odin doesn't recognize it. If it's not in download mode , it does recognize it by saying "added". Any idea why ?

Debugging mode turned on in Developer Options in settings?
Yep... im stumped . And so frustrated. I just want to put a 4.3 rom on this thing :-/ I tried new cables...different ports...different roms...nothing works
Uninstall the Samsung drivers then reinstall perhaps...
---------- Post added at 12:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:52 AM ----------
I see you've said in an earlier post you tried that already.
Does the computer (not Odin )see the phone when your booted into system?
I'm going to have to agree on drivers. Unplug USB cable, uninstall drivers, install the latest version of Note 2 drivers from Samsungs website, plug phone back in, boot into download mode.
Nothing works :-/

Its no use. I got lucky two times while flashing. But it failed halfway through. The thing is as soon as I connect the device and check driver properties it shows device is working but within seconds it reverts to error code 45(device not connected) and phone starts charging. When I disconnect and reconnect same thing happens. #MediaSuck!
I tried it in windows 7 and 10 [YGDP] .
try disabling antivirus and use good quality cables.....win7 is good 4 flashing

I just use a proper way to enter fastboot mode instead of using shortcut way (by command).
