are you still having the same error message?
there are programs for that on the net, you need the md5 hash from where you downloaded the file,
if you can open the package with winrar or 7zip your file is good, if you get an error message it means broken file
if you can enter to download mode now I suggest you to download again the file, or try different odin version (i use 1.85 and never got a problem) and a different usb port may be

Maybe flashing a firmware with PIT?
with the five files. I Found this in other topic with the same issue:
"I encountered the same problem. And I was able to solved it by flashing it with xxkg6 stock firmware downloaded from sammobile.com.. The file must contain 5 files that includes the pit file. I know most of the thread advised not to touch the pit file but I just did(I took the risk). When I loaded the pit file, it automatically checked the re-partition option.. After 5mins my gs2 has born again.."
If you have Kies loaded at same time/in background close it. You cant flash via ODIN while Kies is running.
i killed all running process from kies... i'll try with a firmware with PIT and check re-partition (XXKG6)

Odin and Kies don't play well together. Uninstall Kies and try Odin again.

When you flash via PC odin don't use .pit file and don't tick repartition (leave all options in odin default). Rom file open as PDA. It should work.

So yeah, for some days ago i have installed a custom rom this one : Leaked Android 4.2.2 XXUFME3 ROM for Galaxy S III
it worked fine but i wanted to get back to stock rom.

Now i chosed a rom with PDA button, i unchecked re partion and hited start button. Odin was stuck at "setup connection".
I have installed and reinstalled drivers, installed and uinstalled kies, i have tried this on all of my usb ports, i tried this on my other pc with installed drivers etc. Nothing WORKS!!!! i am a noob with Android and really need a help. i Have working to get it work 4 hours and nothing...
Btw i have no sd card in my s3.
It looks like i dont have any firmware on my phone now, but i can still enter download mod, but not recovery mod.

did you do everything as mentioned in this site? http://androidromupdate.com/2012/06...ung-galaxy-s3-gt-i9300-stock-rom-i9300xxale8/
i did!
the only thing i did wrong was to re partition it......
now i dont know how to get it work...
Try flashing again but with the newest ROM from NEE, if flash successful, probably will boot loop again, enter to recovery mode and do a factory reset.

Pretty fun that non experienced people are flashing stuffs, rooting etc etc without reading two or three times before so they learn about what could happen if anything are done the wrong way..
In worst case, warranty is the only solution to fix this and re-program PIT layering of your phone. It may cost if there is any sign of modifications / flash counter above zero...

VerizonGalaxy Note 2 Bricked?

Hi Guys
First time writing here, hope to finde a soluttion.
I bought a Galaxy Note 2 Verizon(sch i605),since I was not using it in Verizon I was not able to send SMS and a pop up appears all the time, telling me that the SIM is not Verizon etc
To fix those things I rooted it and installed JEDI X ROM.Everything seems fine.
I saw that the version of rom says T Mobile when Jedi X was Installed
So i thought If I will install T mobile stock ROM,In my verizon, sms and everything will work fine and I will not have anymore a rooted phone.
I used ODIN to put the file, everything seems fine, but now it has stuck in a boot loop
When I turn it on it says samsung and get restarted, all the time just restart
I can not go to recovery ,but I can get to download mode
I have tryed everything I could for 9 hours, but nothing
I sent it to a Local Service repair and they said they have Tried J TAG and no results at all
So i wana ask,What can I do?
Thank you so much in advance

Have you tried flashing the alternate restore and the PIT together in ODIN, while in DL mode, from droidstyles post? What about root66 along with the PIT? What about those 2 alone?
Your mistake was flashing Jedi in ODIN when it is supposed to be flashed in the custom recovery.

Thank you so much in advance

you could also try using a jig, but since it goes into download mode just flash the alt odin package.

Flashing Stock Firmware on S5282
Dear Dwivedi,
I tried to flash stock firmware on GT-S5282, by following exactly the steps suggested by you. However I did not succeed as ODIN stuck at "<ID:0/010> NAND Write Start!!" for hours together. I tried the procedure with ODIN 3.09 and 3.10 with different compatible stock ROM but ended with same result. Messages as displayed in the status box of ODIN are as under:
