[Q] Black marks on LWW - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi.
Recently my LWW (white version) fell on the ground but it won't have any spalls. The only reminders of this are annoying gray marks on the back panel which looks like a dirt. I've tried to clean this up but regular cleaning didn't work. Is there any posibility to remove that marks? Thanks for any help

Must be something on the inside, happened to a friend with his Defy+, he had a black mark on top-left, and he was unable to clean it. He just took the phone to the provider and they gave him a new one

I'm not sure if I can take the phone to the provider because my warranty is void. But they don't have to check if it's unlocked so maybe i'll try. Otherwise I will just buy a new back panel

hi guys,
quick question.
ive just replaced my dopod838pro housing and upon completion, WM6 wont auto-rotate. where have i gone wrong?? is it something to do with the little square of yellow plastic???
please help
thanks,
Drooch
also
the screen backlight sensor wont work either.
ive done a hard-reset, changed the yellow plastic to the original plastic from the OEM housing. all the connections are firmly connected and i am still suffering from
- no auto-rotate when sliding device
- keyboard backlight wont activate
please help as i dont want to send it 1500Km to get it fixed (outside of warrenty as well!)
Drooch
Did u solve your problem? I have the same problem with you
Solution
I recently ran into the same problem swapping to a new housing. As it turns out the housing I bought did not come with the magnet needed for the phone to recognize that the keyboard had been slid out. Just take the magnet from the old housing and attach it to the new housing. See the below link for pictures.

I got the same.
I dropped it twice, now my screen is f*cked.
When I bent it a little bit it goes back to normal.
I'm waiting for a fully backup program for all my apps/sms/photo's/etc before I want to give it to a repair center. Want to make it so dat I never dropped it and the screen just suddenly started to act very strange. Hope it will fall under warranty
Do you perhaps know a full backup program?
(something like you also use on a normal pc like making a ghost image, and when the phone returns you can load the image and everything is back to normal including your own apps/photo's/sms etc...)

Did i brick my PCB?

Last hour,my optimus just felt from my bathroom(duh)
its about 1meter ,and i am pretty sure there is no water inside (coz the bathroom is pretty clean, and my phone is coated with a protector) sound like a moron
now, whenever i try to boot my phone its only show blackscreen
there is no lovely yellow screen, just black(i already tried vol+home+power)
but i am sure, despite my phone only show black screen its normally boot up(and working)
and that true!!i received a call from my mother lately!(and i can accept tat call)
so,my question is:
is my warranty can clean this mess?
of course i will say to the beloved-smart-service-guy-can-do anything;
"Last night i was playing a game, and suddenly it reboot and my phone only show black screen" #dummyface
No sign of exterior damage? If no then just try to fool the service guy. There's nothing to lose
nah
unluckly i found small scratch near power button
but,is this true tat my PCB is broken?
am i right or am i right???

[Q]How to get rid of a stuck pixel? Xperia Ray

I've got a blue stuck pixel at the bottom right of my phone screen :S I've tried unstick it by flashing different colours off and on, however I am still unable to get rid of it. Any other way?
Try to update/repair the software and see if it helps. If it's still there after this I don't know any other way than to have it fixed at a service center. One broken pixel is however not covered by the warranty so it would come with a cost unfortunately.

In case that software update is useless to help:
If you still have warrenty - then contact the SE service center or shop )
if you don't scare of everything then disassemble the phone
and gently massage the pixel with something soft (eg. Wadded stick)

[Q] Xperia P Strip Problem and Yellow Tint

hello! My name is Gagan Vj!
I am new here!
I want to show you guys the glue cracks which are there in the transparent strip of my phone..
damn...i realised i cant post images till i reach 10 posts!
but i wanna tell u that there is a glue that is coming btw the glass strip!
I wanna know guys, I was worried whether this glue pattern u see in the middle ( in home button ) .. is it faulty? should i go and get it replaced? it is in the warranty period. I am not sure whether they would replace my complete fone! May be they replace the Bar itslef? replacing the bar may be still a serious issue, My fone may not remain in a good position after replacing the bar!
Also My last issue, sometimes i see Yellowish Images turn green!
is it occuring to other XP owners aswell?
Thanks guys! I need ur Help!

Go to a service center mate as this is a common issue. It is the glue from led bar and default screen protector as they were not putted correctly with thermal press from factory. They may replace it or fix it in a couple of days

Are u sure Mate I should go and give it to service center? Dunno, but they may take max a month to return it or so, I saw in Sony's Official forum, i guy had his fone replaced within a Month!
My Xperia P also have the exact same issue. When i press the bar from both sides it will go away , but after some time it comes back. I think the glue between the bar is going off. I also dont have the warranty.
If you had done even a small search, you would have seen that this is already in active discussion on another thread.

A lot of other Xperia P users are having this issue and there is no known solution to it, just to take it to the repair service
I am having the same problem. But giving it to service centre is not a useful decision.
First , they will consider it as a design, not a flaw
Second, even if they change the strip , then the problem will arise again.
my past experience with service centre is not good. they will surely give more scratches to your phone, than you currently have
you can buy spare strip from here :
