I just tried 2 different N4 kernels, one boot looped, and one just failed to flash. Can we not use N4 kernels or did I screw something up?

I know coming from the bionic, they had multiple rom slots with TWRP. Will this ever be possible with this phone?
Thanks

never heard of it
It's basically partitions out the internal card into however many slots you want, max is 4 I think. It uses 2gb per slot. Then whenever you want, you can go into TWRP and switch between roms.

I've heard of it, as I had it on my razr hd. But I don't see why when you can just have backups its so easy and fast to just be swapping backups. That's normally what I would do when there is 2 roms that I like a lot.
Sent from my rooted, and unlocked Vzw note 2 running beans Rom! U mad?

I did, and it was great. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they support much in the way of Samsung devices at the moment. As of mid-November they were working on support for the GS3 but I don't know what's happened to that. Apparently Sammy's partition structures are annoying.
okay im not a noob and i flash a lot. I have always been able to recover from soft bricks etc.. but this time im lost i tried flashing venum ice reborn and it bootlooped so i tried to boot back into recovery to restore a backup it still just bootlooped, i got it into odin mode flashed my stock rom odin recognized my device it did its thing passed green light i thought okay good to go but it still just bootloops. Mobile tech is really good. I've never used them but many have. Now I'm not sure if it who's fix it or not. I think it could, but maybe email them or hopefully someone with a little me knowledge just drops in here

Just out of my own curiosity, I wanted to see how many of the lgog faithful are going to n4 convert to try Ubuntu touch or wait for a port to come to our lgog natively.
I'm sure one of our great devs will inevitably create a port, however, Ubuntu currently works (with 3g/hspa data) AFAIK for the n4.
I am not responsible if flashing Ubuntu on ur device bricks it, turns it into a gremlin or solves for pi in less than 2 milliseconds.
I am only curious as to who in our community wants to try out Ubuntu os.

It can be ported and it kinda sucks (on my N7) right now. N4 conversion is pointless to do ever since we can boot aosp roms

No matter what kit kat ROM I download my WiFi ends up being broken, not using any add ons, also my play store force closes constantly on every kit kat ROM even using multiple different gapps, I thought using ROMs built for the optimus g would be better than n4 ROMs, this is my first experience flashing ROMs not from the n4 threads onto my optimus g, why would WiFi be broken and the play store be acting the same on not one ROM but every ROM I try ie. Slimkat psx etc.
Any help would be appreciated
Bump

From the sound of it, if you are always flashing n4 ROMs, its appears that you did the n4 conversion/hack. More than likely, that is your problem since it doesn't seem like anyone else is experiencing the same issue. Either convert it back to OG partitions or continue using n4 roms.

1) when I shut it off 50% of the time it will boot loop 20+ times before it boots.
2) Twrp (6.3 i think or something ) won't load the cm 10.2 rom
3) flashboot drives don't load to Comp so that isn't working
4) kernel failures and crashes 7 times in the past 2 hrs.
:banghead:
Any ideas guys? I am rooted and unlocked and sim unlocked ...not that that matters. On ATT still. Running stock rom
