screen sensitivity

Hi, thought it was just the go launcher causing this but it looks to be an issue with the phone. Sometimes screen presses don't register, seems a bit random, where pressing harder always work. Seems to me sensitivity has been set a bit to low. Anyone else noticing this or is it just me?
Just you mate, capacitive screens don't respond to harder presses especially since the S2 has a gorilla glass display, what phone are you coming from?
I know that but it really does work better if my press is harder or more defined if you want to put it that way. I come from a HD2, no issues with that, could be a duff screen.
edit: ok there is something wrong here, now it starting bring down the the notifications bar when i click on some icons, odd behaviour.
wonder if its something to do with my phone being set to 190 density, I will have a play
no joy with density change, think my screen is duff.
seems to be a latency issue with the digitiser, if I do a quick touch, say like i am typing it doesnt register at all when I click an icon, if I click and hold an icon for slightly longer (not long enough to bring up the screen edit it options)it is ok, which is why i suggested that pressing harder made it work, its not the pressure its the time my finger is held against the screen, a sensitivity issue, its like the software is being told to ignore light touches.
Typing texts etc is ok, just seems to be an issue on the desktop and drawer when I am selecting icons.

Capacitive buttons not working But sweep2weak Work?

Hello all, my capacitive buttons on evo 3d are broken (some day they just stop responding) , so i googled for solution, find nothing, then i ordered new digitizer, now digitizer is waiting for me to have money to repair my phone. But some days ago ill installed CM10 With sweep2wake option. When my phone is screen off, when i touch the home button (thats is not working) guess what. IT LIGHTS THE PHONE AND RECOGNIZE TOUCH. While i sweep from home to search - my phone unlock (So my buttons recognize touch) I am now like wtf? Is there a way to examine those buttons with some sort of programs or etc? Is there a way of repairing them without changing digitizer?
Best regards, Bazyl93

Click to collapse
So the buttons only work for sleep to unlock or do they work like they should on the cm10 rom? If they do not work normally then it may be the s2w recognizes the area of the screen close to the buttons, but not the actual buttons.
Get kernel tuner and then go on to check with the brightness of capacitive buttons. There is a chance you have them at 1% and you can't make out if they are lit or not ...

Part of touchscreen bad calibration

My redmi 3s screen was broken and I managed to replace it, altough I found the repair very difficult. The new screen works but the touch calibration is a little off. The bottom part of the screen registers touches about 0,5 cm lower, this makes typing difficult. The upper part seems to be ok so I am typing this with the phone upside down... Is there are way to manualy calibration the touch screen? I already tried the touchscreen calibration app but didn't help, maybe because the app registers touches in the upper part of the screen...
Hello nightraver.
Did you find a solution for that ? I also changed my screen and I have the same problem.
Thanks.

How to disable a specific place on the screen ?

Good day, I have a problem with the phone of Jinga Basco m500, Sometimes the upper part of the screen is pressed spontaneously.
Is it possible to somehow disable the part of the screen that I need. What would the screen not react to the touch in this part ? How to do it ? with the help of which programs ?

New Mate 10 pro Display Knuckle tough problem

Hi. I replaced my broken display (and digitizer) with a new one on my mate 10 pro. So after i replaced it started to detect simple touch as knuckle touch (knuckle touch is a special type of touch with your knuckle on huawei phones that is used for screenshots, split screen and more...) . When i drag or touch screen , sometimes it draws blue lines. So i decided to permanently disable knuckle gestures. And guess what? After i disabled all of them screen didnt work at all. I had to connect usb-to-typec mouse to my phone to activate knuckle gestures again so that screen would work.
What can i do about it? Maybe reset everything and install android pie with different rom, cause i think EMUI is awful. Will it help or its just a hardware issue? I've read that some tehnicians do hard reset after screen replacement, maybe i need too?
P.S. There are 3 knuckle gestures : Split screen ,screenshot and app draw open. If i disable two of these and let one be enabled, then screen works. If i disable all of them screen doesnt respond to touch anymore.
