[Q] Help with a bricked razr maxx - Motorola Droid RAZR

(AP Fastboot Flash Boot (s) (recipe failure)) So I pulled a nooby move and tried to flash back to ICS from the official Jelly Bean. I then again pulled a stupider move and used RSD to flash gingerbread. The one thing that is confusing me though is the fact that my AP fastboot menu doesn't read flash failure, but recipe failure. I have attempted the jellybean unbricker from matigrof and then went so far as to boot into recovery, wipe the cache, wipe the data, and to install the jellybean leak. I am getting frustrated, and a tip in the right direction would be help.

Since you've moved to JB there's no way back to Ics or Gb.
You have to flash a JB firmware to ur device. Is it a Droid Razr Maxx from verizon or what?

Its a Verizon Razr Maxx (912).

Does someone have the sbf?

I am in the same situation - did you figure it out?

[Q] Tried side loading ICS, now LTE wont work

I tried loading ICS to my Droid Razr using Droid Razr Utility 1.7. It failed with a Status 7 error and now my phone is stuck in 3G only. It wont connect to LTE. Can someone please help me out?????
So you're still on .181?
I have written a guide (posted under development forums by user streetmedic) to manually update to the 4.0.4 ICS OTA which should help you out,
The side load 7 error is usually caused by either the need to wipe data/cache or the 1.7 utility did not successfully flash the ICS recovery.
When you boot into recovery, is it a picture of an android laying down, with a red exclamation triangle over it, or a different image? The image described indicates you are definitely using the ICS recovery which the 1.7 utility installs. If it's different, try the utility again.
If that's not the issue, while in recovery do a wipe data/factory reset AND wipe cache. After completing both of these, turn the phone off, reboot back into recovery, and install the update. Any further issues can be resolved in the development thread. This should however, fix your problem and get you on the OTA.
That was the guide I used and yes I'm still on .181 with ICS recovery. I'll give a shot again and let you know the results. Thanks
If it still gives you any issues you can use matts 1.6 utility to fastboot a fresh 181 system, then restart my guide. Best of luck
Worked like a charm!! Thanks!!!!

Gsm or cdma version?
Well either way, use this utility to flash back to stock, and reroot, make sure to only flash a rom that is for your phone ie. Gsm or cdma, and your area.

Thanks Mate..
i will try to do it again..
if it fail again, i will contact in the thread again
describe exactly what happened
installed leak?
If it fails to rsd back you probably have been updated to ics, that being the case trying to rsd back to gingerbread will always fail. You will need to rsd to the .211 build. I'd use mats new tool possibly skip to the new 214 leak then use the same bundled tool for rooting. (given you are cdma) I must recommend a full charge for any flashing, a low battery can result in failed flash and also blows your batt stats to hell

ICS Razr Utility should have worked... not too sure what the problem is. Maybe RSD Lite?
Check your download, then when booting holding volume up and down when in ap got to recovery clear cache and everything and try again. You were on 211 before you started correct? Will not work on .215 or any of the leaks after 211

razr maxx cdma brick after jb ota

Hey everyone
I downloaded and installed the jellybean ota successfully to my CDMA razr maxx xt912 the day the leak came out. Everything was running smooth and safestrap was installed. Then I tried to install a theme and everything went bad! The phone can only boot to fastboot because the jb ota leak didn't have a stock recovery.
Since the jelly bean fast boot files aren't out I just bought a used gnex from my friend and have been loving it but I want to get my razr up and running..
I have tried rsdlite and the utility tools to try and bring it back to ICS and nothing works so far.. Any ideas?

You can NOT ever get back to ICS. Can you clarify if you were on the Christmas leak or soak/ota before this happened?

i posted this on another thread but same thing.
Easy Fix,
Matt's Utility 1.90
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/to...ux-all-in-one/
1. Unzip, move the folder that said MOVE TO SD
2. Go into AP Fastboot
3. Do # 1
4. Power Off/On then go into Recovery
5. Wipe everything
6. Install update from External SD
7. Choose the ICS > JB Leak
8. Go take a short 20 mins nap
9. Reboot and go into the whole setup process
10. Use 1.90 Utility to Root your Phone
11. Install RootKeeper
12. Choose #4 and follow instruction on how to install from Leak > JB
13.
The leak I downloaded was the night before Christmas I'm pretty sure.. Thanks for responding I'll see if the utility works!

I can't boot into recovery to wipe the phone or install anything because there is no stock recovery on the jb ota I have.. All the phone does is boot to fastboot so that method won't work for me. I'm pretty sure I'm guna have to wait for the fastboot files unless I can get a recovery on the phone through fastboot

The stock recovery shouldn't be over written. Access it the same way you do for fast boot

[CDMA] RSDLITE flash

Afternoon,
Well today i got a coworkers phone that he will be switching to when his new card comes in so i tried using RSDLite to flash back to .211 stock ICS (phone was on ICS but had old bootloader and such from previous owner) I had files from RSD and such from when i did this to my phone so that way i could jump to JB [had no issues] I ran RSD and said 100% complete PASS etc but it still wont leave boot loop? cant figure out why i would boot loop from rsd.
Did step by step...
reboot phone into Fast boot,
Run RSD,
Load zip file, decompress and flash
100% it auto reboots phone than wont boot past animation.
model: XT912
On RSDlite 5.7
Filename: VRZ_XT912_6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31_1FF.xml <- file i use to flash
Creation Date: 06/14/2012 21:10:20
File size: 1818
Sofware Version: 6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31
For Phone Model: SPYDER
I have searched numerous posts and couldn't find an answer in which relates, besides make sure for CDMA instead of GSM,
If someone could point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.
TRY WIPE THE DATA AND CACHE IN RECOVERY.
