No, I don't have a simcard inserted. I make calls with an old Nokia phone (1000 series...). Interesting to hear that. But this should be a bug...

I got my S2 through my carrier (Telenor Sweden), who told me early batches would be unlocked as they were still finalising how to lock it. It does indeed accept other SIMs just fine. As I understand there are four methods an S2 can be locked however:
1. [NCK] Network lock
2. [SCK] Subset lock
3. [SPCK] SP lock
4. [MCK]
How do I verify if my phone is locked in any of these ways? No sure what they entail to be honest.
Thanks!
*#SIMLOCK# if they all display as OFF then its unlocked.

Np. Did you have similar circumstances to mine?
=D thanks thanks for the tip. all off here too!
"Personalizatiob Status"?
Is it only me who's seeing "Personalizatiob" on the SIMlock status screen? FW version KE7. Can anyone report a text fix on a different version?
Mine says that is all off, but when I put a SIM from another carrier doesn't work!

What carrier is that? Remember that the phone has to support the type of network as well.
Hi there,
Know this post is a little old but think my brain may explode!
I have a SGS2 and trying to sim unlock it. I have put in this code *#7465625* and says its all unlocked. Thing is it wont pick up the o2 service at all. I tried the unlocking apps and nothing was found or said phone was unlocked. If I make a call says 'Mobile network not available'.
It picks up the o2 APN settings which are all correct I believe, hope someone can help
2nd day of searching but the search still goes on for the answer! (lucky me! lol)
OK if anyone else has this problem might be worth looking into wether the IMEI has been blacklisted mine has!
I used a website called checkmend cost me £1.99 but soooo worth it!
Hopefully shouldn't be a problem returning it to CEX!!!
I have checked my phone, and it says that it is unlocked, everything is [OFF]. Yet when I put another SIM in, the phone won't accept it? How do I know if my phone supports another SIM card or not?
Don`t know why my s3i9000 can`t read my sim card although it is all good in other phones, is the network lock issue or the baseband issue?
Thanks!

What phone do you actually have ??
I have a Verizon lg g3 I flashed the latest lollipop from Verizon after kdzing to stock. I run a T-Mobile sim. I reset the APN because I was having text failures. I then lost all service. My cell no longer picks up any service. The sim registers but that's it. Its constantly in a no service state. I kdz again back to stock still no service. What can I do? The sim was checked its fully functional...
Anyone?

look in settings about phone and see if your imie is all zeroes.
No, it shows my imei and all my info. I installed a sim card reader app and all the info shows up as well. I really don't know what to do??

im hardly a sim expert, but just because you can see your info, may not mean its not toast.
flashing can and has, many times, fried sims. i would get a new one, then go from there.
Hi, I recently bought a second hand s6 and the weird thing is that when I put in my SIM card it will only allow me to make emergency calls and says it's not connected, what could be the problem?

Is the sim detected or does it say "no sim"?? When my dad had that problem on his iPhone it was because the sim card needed to be adjusted.

Another theory is the sim card is incompatible with the particular model you have. Have you checked that out?

Well the SIM cRD Hs the correct size and I tried another SIM card from the same operator, but that also says not connected only emergency calls

I would guess that your carrier will not work with that particular model of this phone. For example, I have Verizon as my carrier, and if I put my sim card in an AT&T branded phone I get the same issue as you.

As far as I know it's not branded, but if it is how do I find out?

This is a link to an app that tells you lots about the phone, including the brand.

That app shows it's TT network which is Telia and Telenor's combined network and my SIM card is from Telenor so wrong brand cannot be the reason.
I am kinda at a loss. All my ideas have been exhausted.
My next suggestion would be to contact Telenor and ask them directly about the problem.

It seems that the IMEI has been blocked due to being a stolen phone I bought, no good

Sad to hear, yet good to finally know what was up.
I use Wolt partner app for my food delivery job. One of the functions is getting a push notification when the restaurant has marked food as ready. But at one point that one notification stopped coming through (others still work, like new task or chat message). I've made no changes in the app or Android system, and all notifications are set to on. Wolt support said they can't replicate the problem so it's probably my phone. But how can I determine why this is happening?
The phone is Huawei Mate 20 lite running EMUI 10, Android 10.

No, but how can it be SIM card related?

Not with the SIM card, but with the operator, who may be doing something strange with the push transfer.

If you change your carrier card and your employer sets up a new number for notifications, you'll be closer to the truth about where the problem lies before you reset your phone. Or would you rather reset the phone?
Hey, I know this is an old thread, but my issue still persists, I even tried with a different phone but it's still the same! So can this really be a carrier issue?
