Here goes..
:-/ i have a s5830 i needed to unlock it. i pulled the bml5 file and edited the operator code to 23402 from 23430 to accept the new sim. dd'd the file to the phone restarted and bootloop.
It goes into download mode and is reconised in ODIN will flash (i have tried 3 different stock roms Virgin, Orange and Vodafone) it gets to the reboot, starts flashing black so then pull the battery and hold down POWER+HOME.. I get a flashing samsung logo. I have searched for 2 days please help. Many Thanks - B =]
Im running Linux (ubuntu) and have a full backup of the bml5. I just need to restore it. I understand the bml5 is a part of the EFS filesystem and thats why flashing it wont work. Flashing a package in ODIN doesnt touch EFS. I have ODIN running on a xp virtual machine.. Can get into download mode emergency dl mode and RAM dump mode no recovery. Hrm :-S

Bummer thanks mate. Im gonna still try. Can't we mount the file system through an ODIN script. Ill mod one if I can work out how they work. I found a tutorial on how to restore EFS through Odin and it mounted the fs so you could replace the corrupt file. I will have a bit more of a look. Thx again.

Ended up buying broken screen one off eBAy going to remove the mainboard and put it in the broken bml one. Thanks for your help =]

I was flashing my vibrant and accidentally pulled the USB during the flash. I could not get into download mode so I bought the USB dongle that puts it in dl mode and it worked. Flashed the wrong stock rom which was for the international version. It worked great other than no internet so I went in recovery to root it. Got stuck in recovery due to not being able to select anything since I had no home button. Downloaded the j16 rom and flashed with Odin. Went to reinstall packages, phone turned off when I hit reboot and never came back on. No download mode even with USB jumper and not even the charging icon, nothing. Help please. I have since bought the Samaung Focus which I like but would love my vibrant back too. Thanks.

why didnt you just odin vibrant 2.1 after you did i9000 by accident ??

I have been using oodie MIUI prime 7 for o week, no problem. Today i have installed all apps using flashtool, when i finished, rebooted phone and it stuck on the oodie miui sign, nothing happen,I cant get into xrecovery/CWM to flash again. pcompanion/SEUS/wotan server dit not recognize the phone so i cant install original software
When i tried to root my X10 half a year ago i did something wrong and it stuck on the SE logo, but i use wotan server, it recognized it, flash original software and it was ok.
Can you help please, how can i repair it, or flash original soft

how can i use it, if SEUS dit not recognize the phone. If i start SEUS, connect the phone, nothing happens
Download 2.1 generic firmware. Now then put your phone into flash mode and flash 2.1 generic.
Your phone will now boot.then you'll need to go to PC companion and update to 2.3.3

U may aswell just flash 2.3.3 global generic in flashtool then u won't need to use sues/ pcc as you'll be back to stock gb

hi my galaxy s3 dose not have imei and serial number registerd i tried everything but ..... and on the desktop i have a mesage whin frimeware version and its says factory mode on please turn off tu use full privileges and the mesage whit frimeware and other stuff that is almost all my display please help how do y turn of factory mode ?

You are better off searching the forum on the same topic. There are 3 full topics from my memory on the same problem. Pretty much to sum it up if you don't have a back up of your efs folder your screwed.

Its a question in the wrong forum .
Very difficult to read your post .
IMEI wrong restore your backed up EFS folder .
No backup try once factory reset or a stock rom flash through Odin .
That fails then only a Samsung service centre for repair .

Hi all, unfortunately, i have bricked my phone, and it now can't turn on..
I have a backup of the software(My friend gived me it), but when i put it in SP Flash Tool, i see only the red bar, then the program don't flash anything..
My computer see the phone as "MTK USB Port (COM6)"..
Is this the problem maybe?
Please help me..

Did you use MTK droid tools to make a backup? I know you may have done this all ready, but did you download the drivers and checked in device manager on your computer to see if you can see the phone? Sometimes if you remove the battery, and connect it to the computer. (with a good USB lead ) it should install the phones drivers. Did you also install adb on your computer? As if you did, you should be able to get into recovery. By typing adb reboot recovery and it should boot into c.w.m. recovery. Hope this helps. I'm still getting used to mine. Sorry I can't help with more advice, hopefully someone on here can help.

hey everyone i need your help unbricking my haipai too, i deleted some system apps now its restarting (bootloop in android loading screen, sometimes launcher appears for some seconds and bootloop again) and i think its because of the s4 water apk - can somebody pls upload this apk or better all system apks from i9389 ? cant extract the system.img from needrom... and i didnt have a special cable to flash via sp tool. i got this phone yesterday it was great as i say i deleted some and after reboot all fun is gone ;P

Hi. Can anyone help with this topic. I have rooted my i9389. Backed it up with titanium. The whilst removing some bloat whare have sent my phone into a boot loop. I have no pc just a tablet. And when I did manage to connect to a pc it would not recognize the phone. When I turn it on and try to open back up or titanium or anything else for that matter it loops before I can get anywhere. Please help.

Wrong forum... but I'd say if you can get it to connect because USB has to be in MT mode or something for it to connect. Use kies to flash stock firmware or find the correct .md5 file and flash using Odin. I am not responsible if you flash the wrong thing....
