[Q] s5839i cannot charged and fail updating the firmware using ODIN - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I desperately need help to fix my s5839i. The phone was rooted sometime ago. Recently the phone was unable to charge. I saw recommendation in the forum to flash the firmware. I connected the phone and download the firmware. When I flash using ODIN, i got the following message:

Yet another galaxy s 3 bricked

So, I have a galaxy s 3, the international gsm model. It had a jelly bean stock rom, everything working well until it suddenly went off and stuck in bootloop (with the samsung galaxy s3 - i9300 logo).
After I did some research here at XDA i noticed that i'm not the first to experience this, and so I tried the several solutions offered (that is - factory reset as explained here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30087735&postcount=6). This solution worked, it booted and it looked like i had found the solution... Until it happened again -- the bootloop. I thought it might have been a question of the wrong pit file (because in another thread one user found a solution this way thought i cant find the thread now), so I tried several pits with odin, and kept having the same error:
<ID:0/039> Odin v.3 engine (ID:39)..
<ID:0/039> File analysis..
<ID:0/039> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/039> Initialzation..
<ID:0/039> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/039> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/039> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/039> There is no PIT partition.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I sent it to a local repairing service (not samsung, cause the custom binary count is set to 2 so not under warranty) and they returned it to me saying they couldn't repair it cause the "jtag is not yet supported, but might be in the near future" and that "the bootloader is broken".
It is still able to enter download mode. Any suggestions/ideas?
Hmm.
"the bootloader is broken" sounds a bit tough. :/
What caused the bootloop in the first place?
Are you sure you never used another device's PIT?
Try flashing this in odin: https://hotfile.com/dl/185684429/de93650/I9300XXELL4_KOR_MULTI_FACTORY.zip.html
I use it everytime i have a brick..
Plus any more info you have would be good. :good:

Thanks for the help, I'm downloading that right now, will post something when i try what you said.
I don't think i've used another device's PIT, but these were the ones i tried: GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit, GT-I9300_mx_20120322.pit, GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit, M0_20120220.pit, mx.pit. All of them I found them here at XDA.
Oh and btw, mine is a white 16gb, of that's useful.
Thanks again.
I tried your file, but odin shows the following error:

+1, If fails to access partitions when flashing, you probably have a fried emmc chip (happened to my SIII LTE and my Nexus One), a motherboard replacement is in order.

Yep, it shows
PRODUCT NAME: GT-i9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (2 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
Do you think they would replace the motherboard even though it says custom??
Yes... They will repaired it... Because it is a hardware issue...as long u have the warranty... Sorry man.. I think u have to send in your phone to the service center.

You are posting in I9300 Q&A, go here for I9305
besides this, make sure KIES is not running in the background, but I am not familiar with the I9305 itself.

every time i try to wipe i get the same error .... will try a 1 file ROM for 4.1.2 late but i guess that it will not work and problem is bigger than that
My SGS3 failed in much the same way, would not get past the first boot screen whatever I tried. I was able to get it into download mode with a jig, but could not flash anything to it. Samsung said they would take it back for repair but that would have meant being without it for over a week. Fortunately I'd bought it from Amazon and they were happy to send a replacement with next-day delivery.

tried all PIT files for i9300 alone , with 1 file firmware and with 4 files firmware ICS and JB ,, same problem , PIT file is written succefuly but can't flash the firmware
if it's a dead end and the phone have the eMMC problem , the device is still in warranty but the counter is 3 and system is modified
is there a way to kill the device at all without being able to access the recovery or download mode so i can send it to warranty as this issue is already from samsung and not related to user

i agree with you if it was my fault and the phone damaged by me , it's already out from Samsung with this problem so we have the right to send it back to them even if we played with some costume ROMs or Root
anyway i guess erase nand flash in Odin will do the job ,, will give it a try the phone is already dead and useless and my frined lost it anyway

yeah, you can send it back, but damaging the phone to get warranty is, as mentioned before, fraud.

PLEASE HELP :crying: :crying:
1) Use a proper thread title; 'Help !!!!' does not cut it. It needs to be descriptive, many people won't even look at your thread with the title you have now. Edit it.
2) Find Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General, and go through as many of the troubleshooting steps as many times as you need to in order to get a successful flash with Odin. However, be careful you're only flashing I9100G firmware, flashing anything else will brick your phone (like the 3 part firmware linked in Hopper's thread which can be useful in some situations, do not flash this as it's for I9100).
Do not come back to this thread and say 'But I've tried blah blah blah blah'. You are the only person who can fix your phone at this point, nobody here can do this for you. And by referring you to that thread, I've given you the tools with which you can get it done.
You're welcome.
can you please send me the thread link
i can't find it
Absolutely not.
Go to the General section, the stickied threads are near the top 'Guide - Troubleshoot a failed Odin flash'.
Keep posting to multiple threads about the same issue & you'll probably find yourself banned. Which means your phone stays busted.

No i haven't load any pit files. I managed to flash after a couple of tries (with the "simple" CSC file) but unfortunatelly i'm in square 0 again.
Phone still not booting, Showing Samsung Galaxy S9+ (30+ minutes stucked there).

From what i understand flashing with odin will flash a new BL so isn't this supposed to fix any boot issues?
I still can't enter recovery though. Download mode still works.
N960FXXS3CSFC_N960FOXM3CSF9_EUR is for galaxy note 9 device, and you have galaxy s9 plus.

omg man... i just saw this. does the screenshot you posted up say that its flashing the G960 firmware?
edit: your first screenshot shows the 960 and 2nd the 965. you might need to flash the PIT since you flashed the wrong firmware on it

God damn it, can't believe i've ****ed up this badly. I'm 90% sure that the N960 didn't flash anyway because it was failing from the begining (screenshot). Not 100% sure Though. Any idea where to find PIT files?
Thank you all for your time, much appreciated. Merry Christmass everyone.

S9+ 64GB
So according to this post, pit files should be part of the firmware? I'll try to unzip .tar files and have a look arround.
