Hello, I’m having trouble fixing my girls phone and could use some help I’m posting here as a last resort. Here’s the situation.
Phone is HTC EVO 3D S-ON and has never been S-OFF or Rooted. But the phone has stopped booting and I can only get into Hboot and fastboot I have tried flashing the OTA RUU buy placing the PG86IMG.zip on the root of the sdcard and also pushing the file buy fast boot and I keep getting a sig check error “FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)”
The RUU is the same version that I am running now here’s the file name but its not the only one I tried.

Are you htcdev unlocked? If so, you need to run "fastboot OEM lock" from the cmd

If the phone is completely stock (locked bootloader and S-ON) you can only run the RUU from Windows, since any PG86IMG.zip file flashed from the bootloader in that configuration has to be signed by HTC. You can download the 2.89.651.2 RUU.exe from one of the links in this post and give that a try, but it sounds like there might be something else wrong with the phone.

I have a one x+ and i wanted to upgrad to 4.2.2 (it was on 4.1.1) so i flash a dump (from xda) via fastboot , now there no imei ,no wifi adresse (wifi dont work) but phone power on normally its S-off and super cid , i tryed to flash boot.img but no success (Remote not allowed ) , when go to about the main version is 1.14.401.13 but when i check with fastboot its 2.18.401.2 so tryed to flash ruu but always same error : ERROR 258 IMAGE ERRROR

If you have S-Off and can get hold of one of the older bootloader images, you can flash it from fastboot, with the command "fastboot flash hboot xxx.img"
Your problem is the boot.img though. Are you sure your S-Off? As the error message you get, is because the bootloader is locked. Maybe try unlocking the bootloader too. Or as your S-Off, put the boot.img in an update.zip and flash from recovery.

Hi guys,
I had Speed Rom 8.0 installed and wanted to bring it back to OTA Wind ICS Ruu. I downloaded:
•RUU_Ruby_Globalive_WWE_1.46.1500.3_Radio_1.10.550L .01v2DC_30.69.550L.10_release_229312_signed.exe
I read that I had to lock the bootloader to run the RUU exe but it failed giving me error [140] Incorrect bootloader!
Afterwards I tried other RUU (tmobile, telus) and nothing has worked so far. However I must have messed up along the way and now I am in a boot loop!
I can still get into fastboot/bootloader. Currently I have the bootloader unlocked again. I'm S-ON

You need to lock your boot loader, a ruu won't flash without it locked.

Locking it is no problem, however after the phones goes into a boot loop and I can only access fastboot/bootloader.
My problem is that I'm not sure which Wind Mobile RUU I need to use. Everyone I tried gives me the "wrong bootloader" version error.
Issue is that SpeedRom 8.0 is Tmobile Based and not Wind based.
Do I have execute "Mainver Error Fix" prior to running flashing the RUU?

You have the same issue as I did; installing a T-mobile ROM will generally screw up the bootloader and other system level software. By doing that when you try to go to stock it will complain about not being able to update.
The solution is to get S-off and then force updates. Once you have S-off then the RUU exe will force the install and everything will be OK.

Hi:
I have a Amaze ans there is no way I can go into recovery or OS.
I already reflash all ICS original images and the same.
Did it unlocked and relocked asame result.
I can go into HBOOT but nothing else.
The USB debug is not activated so I have very few options.
this is what I see in HBOOT:
*** UNLOCKED *** or *** RELOCKED ***
RUBY PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.93.0002
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0202
eMMC-boot
Mar 15 2012,21:46:51
I can go into fastboot and execute commands, I even try to reflash TWRP with Hasoon tool and by myself with no luck.
When I try to boot recovery the phone shows the white HTC screen and vibrate. then it make a few soft vibrations with some time between then like it was in a loop.
In Win 8.1 it does not mount correctly. I manage to access it in Win7. In Linux did not mount either.
Any help?

If that doesn't work, download the latest available RUU from one of the threads here and flash it via fastboot:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootruu
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot reboot
When something like what happened to you happened to me, that helped me. Bear in mind these commands got me a working Amaze, but all personal data is gone. I don't remember if my internal SD was wiped, but it's possible it was.
Also, the "rom.zip" is relative to the path you're running the fastboot command from. So if you're running fastboot from C:\Android, easiest thing to do is put the zip file in the same folder.
Hi,
I want to restock my HOX+. I found the RUUs here www-androidruu-com/?developer=ENRC2B , but I'm not quite sure wich one to use.
My HOX+ is International, Europe, HBOOT 1.70 , radio radio 3.1204.171.33 , currently running CM11 4.4.2.
Can anyone point me out to which of the RUUs should I use?
Thanks.

You can't use any of those unless your phone is S-OFF. The last HBOOT version that allowed to run the 1.17.xxx.x RUU was 1.35. You need stock CWM/TWRP Backup and matching boot.img + recovery, then you can go back to stock.
I'm S-ON. I was afraid of that. And of course I don't have a stock back-up.
Do they even plan to release a RUU for 1.70 ?
P.S. : This CAPTCHA sucks.
I think is your only solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414238

Great, thanks a lot.
Btw, my HBOOT is 1.72 , I miss typed it in the original post.
@ady2pak sorry for the delay in doing this for you.
What i had done to upgrade mine from 1.35 i think it was (the following will be the same for 1.72 to pure stock)
1st up relock the bootloader (ignore restocking the recovery)
find your cid version with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter&hl=en_GB
The cid needs to be the same as the one's here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995685
if that's all good, then i'm hoping and assuming that this is the correct cid + hboot

How to flash?(bootloader needs to be relocked)
Re-lock your bootloader (this will most probably wipe content of your device)
Copy downloaded .zip to fastboot.exe location (e.g. c:/SDK/platform-tools/fastboot.exe)
Re-name .zip file to firmware.zip
Open command prompt
Boot your device in fastboot mode (vol down + power ===> fastboot)
Connect device to the PC
In command prompt cd to fastboot.exe location
Make sure you have correct modeid and cidnum (type: fastboot getvar all)
Type: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet)
Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Type: fastboot reboot
Unlock your bootloader and flash custom recovery if you are going to use custom ROM.

If you ever unlocked it before, it's void of warranty. Even if you re-lock it, HBOOT will say RE-LOCKED.
