Could you give some more information on what you were doing when this happened? Was it after flashing a new ROM, while jumping skip rope, or just while lying on a table?

Its was on table , when i turned it on the light was really bright too much bright, then I rebooted it then the thing in the video happened
Any help? :/
I'm just venturing a guess, but it looks like something in the hardware such as the digitizer is having huge issues. Have to tried doing a factory reset to see if it's a system issue or not?
yes i did a factory reset and ive even flashed a new rom , half blinded lol
Flash other rom or broken screen :/
I had this exact same thing happen to me.
I don't know specifically what the hardware failure was, but I replaced the whole main-board.
I had the same exact symptoms before it happened too, screen brightness/coloration off, then it was spent. I'm very certain you're in the same boat.
I'm sorry =[

by main-board you mean mother board :\ ?
This is very much a hardware issue, i would think it would be one of 2 problems..
I seen this alot whilst repairing Nds/psp/phones etc on Gcycle workshop.
Most of the time it was a fried Gpu, in most cases its presented without a dropped or damaged unit, this is caused by exessive use of games, or graphicaly hungry games which easily put strains on the gpu, in technical terms the phone can handle many of the games or programs designed for it , but the gpu can easily be damaged through playing high end games or ones with rich graphics,
it dosent happen to every phone, some people are lucky and never have issues, but one in every hundred or so will fail this way, perhaps its a manufacture issue or developers pushing the devices to the limits, i dont know exactly, but for sure the psp/xbox/and alot of phones ive repaired sufferd the same results, most of the time the device outputs an error code, such as xbox displays the ring of death, overheated gpu, etc, some ps3's had similar issues, the trouble with phones is there normaly isnt a visual error code for the gpu.
without diagnostic software, its hard to say for sure what the issue exactly is, but ild bet its the gpu gone bad
the other issue ive see with phones is the screen will wash out and display funky colours, kinda like an exessive dead pixel type issue, end result is a white display, this is very rare though, usualy the result of an old and tired display, or cheap display units.
ok how to fix.. well if its the gpu, im afraid its a new main board, or sometimes a reflow of the solder terminals can work on some devices, this is usualy a costly procedure, and may not fix the issue, many of the phone today the gpu is cant be reflowed, because if its size, and the way its fitted to the board, the solderd connections are usualy under the chip, and usualy close to other sensitive components which dont react well to heat sorces.
would advise a new main board or phone if its under warranty.
hope this helps,
thanks

BumP?
Hi guys,
My phone seems to be hard bricked: black screen, nothing happens when trying to charge it, not possible to put it in DL mode, and even usb jig is not working.
Now I'm fully aware of the risks that go with a bad flash, but what is weird in my case is that it happened out of nowhere: I was on stock rom, phone was suffering from a bad case of slowdowns/random freezes/etc so I decided to put CM 11 on it. Like a phoenix my phone rose from his ashes, battery was holding for a full day instead of the usual 3 hours, no more freezes... but then after 2 days of working like a charm, I just found it plain dead on my desk.
Has it ever happened to anyone, suffering that kind of brick a few days after flashing but not during the actual procedure ? Does anyone has a potential solution other than replacing the MB ? (not really worth it on a 2 years old phone IMO, since there is little chance that I will stumble upon a free MB, and I'm not even sure that it would solve anything anyway)
Thanks for your help !
Nothing to do with the flash. Fact - electronics fails/dies. All the time. All electronics. Often without warning & for no apparent reason other than that's the nature of electronics. I don't know why people are so surprised when this type of thing happens.
Motherboard replacement or new phone - a motherboard replacement will fix the phone; one or more components on the motherboard have obviously died.
http://www.parts4repair.com/categories/Samsung-Repair-Parts/ seems to stock reconditioned motherboards for the S2......double figure prices rather than mid triple figure prices for a new phone.....you do the math.......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right
Hi,
My wife's been complaining about her sgs3, i9300a phone a lot lately, so I've been taking some time of to have a long hard look at it.
the phone in itself works quite well, it is somewhat guarded (she tends to drop it a lot but most of the time it's actually in it's case) and we've switched the screen once (well, not the screen, the top half of the phone to be exact)
the phone used to have a stock 4.1.3 (I think) samsung rom on it for the past year, it's been working well untill a couple of months ago I think and it does still function properly on light use
so what is the issue?
if you'll start a game, or anything that'll cause the phone to heat up - the screen would flicker a bit (not always) and the battery will suddenly report to be down to 0%, shutting down the device right after.
this sudden discharge is obviously not real, as the minute I connect it to a charger and boot up the phone it shows it's last charge before the phone was shut down - however the issue keeps on repeating itself over and over again.
If the phone is connected to a wall charger (or a pc via USB cable) this doesn't happen.
I've been trying to install a kitkat on the device (it have been working slowly so she needed an upgrade) yet the issue persists.
I've been reading around the Internet, some claim it's a faulty battery issue so I'm ordering one from eBay, however - I can't shake the feeling it might some other faulty hardware, perhaps a memory chip gone bad? as I can't see the connection between a bad battery and a flickering screen.
Truth to be told - I'm not a fan of android, or samsung, so I don't know much of the history of problems with it (if there is any) and I've been hoping that there is someone around here who might encountered (or heard) about my issue and would be able to shed some light for me.
thanks in advance!
Change the battery first, replacing the motherboard isn't worth it.

Yeah... I'm planning on stealing my boss S3's battery for some testing later on today if he'll ever decide to show up...
perhaps shouldn't have told him that beforehand
I did hope someone encountered and fixed/learned about this problem as the device has 2 years of history at least...
if it'll come to motherboard switching I'll just force the little lady to switch to a real phone such as an HTC, or maybe go to WP
It was the battery..
Perhaps I should've guessed it by the fact it was REALLY hard closing the case... but it was only after I saw a normal battery that I noticed the real difference.
so for future reference to whomever might meet the same behavior - my battery was about 1.5 the size of what it should be and was quite round,
better call those Samsung representatives and get a replacement before it explodes
Anyone has experience with those 4200Mhz batteries? worth the money or should I just get a genuine one (it cost about the same in here, like 4$ more), the reviews are quite mixed.
Since yesterday my le max 2 has stopped vibrating. I have no idea why it happened, because I didn't do anything (like letting it fall or spill water on it) to make it happen. Has anyone faced it before and know if is there a way to make it back (without opening it or such kind of thing)?

You can backup your current system and data with twrp and try clean install of current rom and eventually some other. If this will not help maybe some hardware problems occured.
Thanks for the answer. I tried three different ROMs including the stock one, no success. I believe it's hardware too, because it doesn't vibrate on recovery or on reboot.
Looks like your vibrator died or got disconnected - in the latter case you could try reconnecting it.
I don't know if I could. I'm afraid of breaking the screen. I don't know if it's worth a try.
I am living with a partly working LED notification light for about 9 months. I think it's not worth to try to open it. The glue around the screen is playing a huge role in strength upon bending and twisting. If it's really something major like fingerprint or volume/power buttons, speaker, etc, it might make a sense to tinker with it, otherwise better live with it. The hardware failures (except fingerprint on X829) are very seldom on this model, so you are a bit unlucky unfortunately.

Same here.
But I have got used to it.
Hi,
I got my LG G5 as a present from my old company, it was never used before and was just repaired because the batt was bloated. Anyway, I've been using it for about a month and now it started: the touchscreen thinks there is fingers everywhere. They seem to be quite symetric, as I turned on the developer option if showing the touches. I see lots of fingers - it is impossible to use this phone. As it seemed symetric, I thought there might be something wrong with the connectors so I disassembled it just to see everything is in place. Then I have reset my phone out of desperation, because i knew it would not help: the touchscreen issue was present during the secure-startup pin entering screen already.
I could not find anything via google about this issue. Any idea what could help? I also think about heating the glass a bit, maybe to loosen any unwanted connection between glass and display.
This is my first and last LG device. LG's Update policies for flagships really are disappointing. And I can not switch to custom roms, not when hardware is reliable enough due to warranty reasons.
Now I've written down my frustration, already feel a bit relieved. (I am travelling and do not want to buy a new phone or get it repaired, as a reparation seems not to be a reliable thing in this poor phone).
Many thanks,
