I have got Obi Worldphone Sf1 which is running android 5.0.1 . I tried every method i could and found on google and xda. But couldnt manage to root? I did all steps as noob but now i really want learn every depth of rooting and all. I thought to build android development env that i found on xda-university to build custom recovery like cwm or twrp. So my question is what are basics of rooting? I know what root is. I have experience of linux. I am not completely noob. So can anybody tell me which way to go to be a good android developer?? (like chainfire )

great so you are like me. The first step is to get the root working. Still no dev has managed to make this thing to work. Well for the most of the part our's is a great device, but at the same time because of unavaliability of kernel resources it is not listed in xda too. Until some experience dev comes out and do some force method to root this phone, there is no hope of ray. First to mess with phone you need a recovery so if anything go haywire then you can revert back to the safe backup.....

what does that mean... Every company has to abide my GPL no matter what they are what they do. Well its shame that when indian companies like MICROMAX are releasing their kernel resources they are not going for it. @zelendel (can you shed some light here brother) http://www.obiworldphone.com/global/

I have dealt with a few India based companies and it always comes down to the fact that they just rebrand China devices. Micromax being one of them.
Soon India will have to worry about things like this as it is along the copy right issues that they are trying not to fall into.
Emailing them is a good start, I would also contact who ever you can in the government. While I understand that Gov are different so you could use what ever might work. If it was me I would use the fact that it doesnt make them look good to openly support copyright infringement.

well as per India there is no specific clause on rooting your phone. Companies just says that if you root your warranty is void. There was never any or whatsoever debate anywhere in Parliament or any public forum. And its better if this kind of thing don't come to INdia i mean rooting debate coz certain companies may force govt to make root illegal. So sometime we can see bigger picture in small loophole

Rooting I really isn't the focus of it. Yes you would be able to have root if the bootloader could be unlocked. (totally different topic and nothing you really can do about that ) it's the kernel source that is the topic. Which by the GPL licence that all android kernels are based on require that the source code for the kernel on said device be made public upon request.
Rooting already pretty much voids warranties. This is why devs put red disclaimers in the OP of their threads. As for illegal, I am not versed in how the laws work there but the worst thing you would be doing is voiding your license you use the software that is on your phone. Nothing punishable by fines, jail or anything like that.

Yeah I guess i gone away from the topic. But whenever the topic comes of following GPL companies dodge the question. And most of INdian companies just "nvm" thinking. And for rooting there is nothing like jail here... Things are changing here as people are getting conscious about what are laws and what companies main motive behind hiding like GPL. Well like in america people and devs community slams the companies for not putting sources online.
I have an interest in the Worldphone, but due to limits in my particular region, buying one would be like buying an iPod Touch. Can't get it online.
While bootloader unlock and the like should be possible, I think for now, it'll have to wait.
In the mean time, is there a possible file dump of things like the APKs that Obi Worldphone uses? No one else has access to the Obi Lifespeed UI except Worldphone users right now. If it's possible, can you grab the APKs with software like ES File Explorer, and ZIP it to a cloud?

Performance ties very directly into device specifications.
Even if it lags, that's only the case known for the Obi Worldphone. There are several other phones in the world, with better processors than the SD615. An 800 may very well knock it out of the park compared to an SF1, and would no doubt topple the MV1, with its meager 212.
It's a simple request. The APKs to the exclusive applications. Even if it's the Lifespeed UI at most.

It is simple enough but the UI in itself isnt all that good
I mean what do you like about it?
Its not like Lenovo's vibe UI or oneplus Oxygen OS
Its simply an icon pack and a different lockscreen
Dolby Atmos being the only somewhat redeeming feature of this phone.

It's really that simple? Just a slightly colorful version of the stock lockscreen?
So beyond that, it's basically just AOSP versions of the other apps, I assume.
Pretty disappointing now that you bring that up. Seemed like it would be more intriguing than that.

On one hand that sounds like the very honest sentiment of a nerd who doesn't like that his 'special thing' is about to become a lot less special since the plebes will have easy access to something you worked hard at....kinda...
...on one hand, I identify...on the otherhand that is selfish and a tad shallow. "Don't do what I do that makes me special, that's only for me!"....but I'm not insulting you, I'm being honest even though I feel exactly that same as you on the issue.
Now on the the more practical matter: You are correct sir. 99% of all phone owners have no idea what it is--and that will not change. It has not changed...okay, maybe it went from 99% to 98%, but, that's not too bad.
Those 98% have no business flashing roms, radios, modifying their framework, flashing a recovery...In this world people with a 3G phone who want 4G--the "clever ones" anyway--will try flashing a 4G radio to it to "upgrade it", people who want sense on a samsung will try to flash that...XDA will be flooded with idiocy and internet gangsters who start flamewars with us real geeks for being, well, real geeks and not telling them our secrets of how to upgrade an OG droid to a droid3...etc etc etc.
Luckily, most people are completely ignorant of the matter and even if you TRY to tell them more they. simply. don't. give. a. ****...and that's if you are lucky enough to even get them to understand it.
Don't worry OP...I've been a geek hacking at my hardware and software since I got my first computer in 1990 with a 1200 baud modem...and even in this age where the internet is in everybody's pocket (something we used to have to hack into university systems to get back then), where 1.2ghz dual core processors are in everyone's pocket (my first computer was 4.77mhz with 512k of ram and a 20mb hard drive the size of a netbook)....and video game consoles are more powerful than a supercomputer the size of arkansas would have been back them....even amongst this flood of technology EVERYWHERE these people still prefer to remain ignorant, even the ones that aren't complete retards.
Our secrets are safe, unfortunately.
I like our "secret club" even though we are a dis functional family..I used to love when ppl wouldbbe like i have an EVO too and then the saw the POwwA of mine
All the exposure of rooting phones / devices has been great for exposure of the potential of the Android system and has helped grab marketshare......However, if you pop over to the Nook forums you'll see a steady influx of people rooting their Nook Colors, flashing something wrong, then shouting from the rooftops "OMG my Nook is bricked!!!!"....all because they didn't know what they were doing & didn't take the time to read & learn about what they were doing in the first place. I'm afraid that is just the direction we're heading in and there is really no way to stop it.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. You could advertise it with a non-stop crawl on the bottom of the screen starting before american idol and have it run for 2 days straight, blinking red, advertising the benefits of what we do and we wouldn't even notice a difference around here.
...maybe in other forums, but def not the e3d section.

This is why you will not see a mass introduction of SU permissions made easy by HTC or Sprint. They know the impact this will make if they give every user out there that wants to flash ROM's or play with Kernel's, that they will end up with a massive payout of returns and loss of profits due to people ****ing up their phones because of their inability to actually learn. You can say your phone bricked itself right now when you flash ROMS and get a new phone without paying a deductible. If we know this, then don't think Sprint or HTC is ignorant enough to know that giving the masses complete control of their phones without some kind of watermark or time-stamp into their product, then they will lose out huge and potentially not be #1 anymore. The only S OFF you will see, is the S OFF were you will be marked like a 666 beast and given a choice to take a red pill or blue pill. It's your choice whether you travel down the rabbit hole.
When will this madness stop?
You guys dont seem to grasp the concept that HTC will NOT root your phone via an OTA. They are going to remove the encryption on the bootloader to allow us to get S-Off on the device and allow system writes to stick. It is not like you will automatically get S-Off and your device will be rooted when they release the OTA. If you do nothing your phone will be exactly the same.
I think everyone pretty much understands that HTC isn't going to magically root everyone's phones, however.......By the very nature of how public the discussion has become and by how very simple the actual rooting process has become SOME people who probably should not be rooting their phones will be. As I've said it's exactly what I've seen with the Nook...."Oh if I burn an SD card, I can have the Android market, cool!?!?"......"Oooops, now I have a blank screen, HELP IT'S BRICKED" Obviously many more people will go on oblivious to our fun, but a handfull who have half a clue will be flashing away without even knowing the risks & rewards of what they are doing.

The update will probably be an OTA, transparent change where a normal end user notices nothing different (except any bug fixes that were expected in the release). The nerdlings or the "community" at XDA then makes it S-OFF, then flashes custom recovery, then custom ROM.
Point being, HTC won't give you an update that has CM with it
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
the evo is already one click rooted.. I don't see how that is so hard. People could root if they could figure it out. Most people won't like the evo 4g.
How many people will take the time out of their day to research what an ota update is for on their new 3vo. Not many.
Sent from my 3vo
I would like to add that most people that have an HTC phone don't visit the HTC Facebook page and/or Twitter page and have no idea about this whole bootloader encryption and what it does. The phone will NOT be rooted by the OTA. All they will do is release an unencrypted bootloader which will probably take a simple fastboot command 'fastboot oem unlock' for it to be unlocked and "s-off". Then install a custom recovery, a rooted Rom and presto you are rooted. This to most people is still too scary to even mess with and risk ****ing up their phone for. For us on here it is a whole different experience. Phones today are pretty much unbrickable unless flashing a radio and pulling the battery or not letting it complete in some way. Most people will give two ****s less about the OTA and we will still be "special".
We are starting a movement toward HTC to get them to release their source code on a more timely basis such as samsung. We need as many people as we can get to do this with us because they won't listen if only users of 1 devices complains. i know others devices have been held up by htc so we are reaching out to (or at least trying to) all of the htc device forums we can in order to spread the word and get everyone involved. please take a look at the link below as it has all of the info regarding this.

I am not signing a petition that uses terms like "B.S." in the letter. If you want HTC to respond, the letter should be done a bit more professionally and not read like it was written by a pre-teen.
Great idea, though. I am sure there is an appropriate letter to be found somewhere on the interwebs.
BTW, I can't believe that, with all the Verizon delays in releasing ICS, HTC does not already have the source ready for release. The OTA was almost exactly the same as the leak we got a month earlier.

I agree, that's a bit embarrassing. I'm beginning to think this device is mostly owned by people who are teens to early 20's. Between the way petition letter was written and the high school drama on this board over the past several months, I think I may be in the minority owning this phone in my late 30's.

Nice!
HTC will eventually release the source. I don't think a petition will do anything at all to expedite that. It's not a priority and the very small percentage of Rezound users that want the source is not going to make it so. If you're really up in arms about it and want to do something that has a chance of working, not a guarantee, but a chance, report a GPL violation.
Some things to keep in mind is that GNU can't do anything about it in this case, so don't waste time reporting it to them. They publish the license, but they are not the copyright holder of the kernel source. Only the copyright holders can do anything about license violations. In this case, there are several thousand copyright holders...everyone who has ever had any code merged into the mainline of the Linux kernel is a copyright holder. Their interests are protected by the Linux Foundation at http://www.linuxfoundation.org/. That is where to start if you want to report a violation.
It's fine to have this energy about this, but don't make the mistake of misdirecting in a bad direction.
Sorry, but I can't sign this.
While I fully support HTC complying with the GPL. I support the usage of basic grammar in formal writing even more.
Was the petition machine translated? That would explain a lot.

If you're going to make a petition for something like this, then you need to do it professionally / with well-written grammar, etc. Right now, like previously mentioned, it just sounds like a bunch of teenagers that aren't getting their way. Re-write the petition to make it sound more formal / professional, and you'll get more support.
Not to mention all the other problems with this, I don't really think this is [URGENT]...
Is someone going to kill your dog if they don't release the source or something?

GPL has no specific date or time:
"While this version of the GPL does not place an explicit timeframe upon fulfilment of source distribution under section 3(b), it is the consensus viewpoint of the Linux community that such distribution take place as soon as is practical and certainly no more than 14 days after a request is made."
^ they have a choice to follow what other linux devs do which is 14 days. its only been 6 official days sense launch of ICS on the rez.
Please put down the pitch forks and RELAX already. once the 14 days are up, and you want join Spartacus in his quest to get source, then by all means do so.
Wah. I want my ice cream sandwich! Stomping feet on the way back to my room. Slams door.
I don't get why anyone is taking this thread seriously. If i were HTC and I received some letter from a group of people demanding I release MY WORK earlier than I planned, IF AT ALL, I'd tell them to go buy a a phone from some other manufacturer. Id then sit back and watch my sales drop 1% and continue to enjoy the millions of dollars that continue to come in because we all know HTC makes great phones and a VERY small percentage of consumers would stop buying them even if HTC said they would NEVER release anything.
You guys act like this is some kind of public utility that small children are relying on to survive. HTC owes us nothing outside of what the warranties on their equipment provides for. Grow up already. If you aren't happy, buy another freakin' phone. Jesus.
To Whom it May Concern:
Many owners of one of your devices, the HTC Rezound, appreciate your recent release of the Android 4.0 "Iced Cream Sandwich" operating system. Our collective enthusiasm continues to drive the notions of both innovation and creativity; to that end, we would like to ask that you please consider expediting the schedule you have for releasing the kernel source code for this operating system. While it is true that several previous devices developed by your company (and others) have taken a series of months before release, our community overall asks that you consider accelerating your kernel release schedule so that we may further engage in our community development efforts.

That is how educated, articulate adults speak and write. I would suggest replacing the existing petition text with something similar to what I wrote above; that way you won't sound like a 15-year old self-entitled douche-canoe, and will have the added bonus of most likely getting more than 142 signatories.

You're joking right? You're talking as if HTC is the number one manufacturer when even RIM outsold HTC so far in 2012. That's bad. HTC was doing bad so they had to shake things up, did the One series with Sense 4 then just said "Meh..." to their other devices.
See, that's the thing. You say they owe us nothing when, by the GPL, they do. They're supposed to release the kernel source and haven't. Why? Give me one good reason why they haven't released their source code. They have nothing to gain from this situation other than customers getting pissed off which can be a PR nightmare. Trust me. There are over 25,000 users of ViperROM. HTC's better off to just give us what is rightfully ours before it turns into a giant headache for them.

Yes but rather thin... as when used a customized ROM how to verify the NSA code is deleted?
I would also love some more information on this. I'd like to believe that cyanogen and other roms built from source have excluded it.
So... does anyone knows about this? What code is it exactly? Did any developer had a look at it ? Or we are supposed to be afraid or uncle sam?
Jeff Zemlin, the executive director of the Linux Foundation, says the NSA didn’t add any obvious means of eavesdropping. “This code was peer-reviewed by a lot of people,” he says.

To the best of my knowledge, the code is actually security enhancements. As much as they love compromising our privacy, it's not in the government's interest to have the phones of businessmen, politicians, etc compromised by a third party. They might even be helping the average Joe for once.
They did the same thing with linux, and no one found any nefarious code there.
I believe the government also uses some open-source tools for its server needs (Prism must need some advanced software ), so it makes sense they contribute back.

Whose privacy is enhanced - ours or theirs? Although the NSA might be interested in protecting US citizens from being spied upon by other intelligence service they want total access to anyones data for themselves, irrespective of whether they are businessmen, lawyers, politicians, civil right activist, hackers or terrorist. Everyone. Saying that there is nothing to worry about if one is not a terrorist is PROPAGANDA.
Who believes that the security services are only interested in terrorists might well be short sighted.
I am surprised that this issue has not generated more interest. Perhaps the majority of Android programmers and users do not care much about being under mass surveilance. BTW, there is no privacy in the bathroom if you've got your smartphone with you.

SELinux
The enhancements they're referring to are the SELinux extensions for Android.
The article is obviously a bit paranoid about what the NSA is adding to Android (who wouldn't be, #amirite) but the SELinux extensions are a framework that adds needed access controls, etc to the mainline security model for linux and by extension: Android.
If you don't like it, you can switch to BBOs or WindowsPhone or iOS...I'm sure those are much safer.
Although I'm disgusted by the disclosures in re the NSA and the direction this country has taken, I'm happy to see the SELinux extensions working their way into Android, I want my device to be as safe as possible.

As long as you leave you phone outside the bathroom (or - better - remove its battery)... :cyclops:
But seriously:
All this shouldn't have ever become legal!
The law desperately needs to be changed if it allows interception of private communication on such a large scale. Not only this violates the Fourth Amendment... confidentiality of private communication was always a good indicator of a lawful state and freedom of its people. And one of the major factors of the so called "checks and balances" system. Depriving people of their right to communicate confidentially effectively removes their control powers because they cannot organise freely, without being supervised.
This creates a long term foundation for tyranny...

Indeed!
Freedom is already threatened, if people cannot trust that they can communicate freely in privacy. When Big Data meets Big Brother it's freedom's biggest nightmare as our civil liberties are at risk. The NSA mass surveillance already becomes normalized by them sharing (selected) information with FBI, CIA, military, foreign intelligence services and governments. It's reach is way beyond tracking terrorists. I hope there will be ways to stop Western democracies from turning into police states.

This is the most asinine reasoning I've ever heard, and it seems to be repeated on a daily basis by people who feel like they're somehow exempt from suspicion.
You DO realize that once you come up on the radar of law enforcement that you're automatically assumed to be guilty? This stockpile of information will then become a treasure trove of valuable data on every minor infraction you've ever committed whether intentionally or not. Given that the legal code is full of over 10,000 distinct crimes, it's quite likely that you're guilty of something. You might also consider that the law changes over time and that laws might be enacted which you will retroactively be found guilty of.
TL;DR All the moral high ground in the world won't help you if the government decides to prosecute you. They can afford to stay in court forever; you can't.

It's not a matter of childish. I have many reason why I would never own one of their devices and that being the fact that the oem is on my jobs banned list.
Also all you have to do is look at any of the so called. Free apps that are paid apps on the Android market.
Make no mistake it was not accidental at all. China is known for things like this.
As for the mods. We have been around long enough to know the story with them so, no none of use would ever touch one of their devices. But that is pointless as it's up to the users to do something with it.

You can look yourself. Just do a compare between the 2 stores. That was part of the reasons why miui roms were banned for the longest time.
You have to remember that MIUI started here on xda before Xiaomi bought them out.
Warez or not, MI Store sucks ass, but banning ROMs is pointless, MIUI forum is trash, I still don't know how it works, and some ROM's has backdoors and for example, they send paid SMS to vietnam, That sh!t costed me 50 bucks!!!

First let me make one thing very clear. I have nothing against Chinese people that make software. You have to understand the Government that runs the country there, to have a small understanding. You see In china they have the right to monitor everything their citizens are doing on the internet. This is part of the reason for the great firewall of china. So spyware, malware and other software that helps in this are normally sponsered by the Military to help in doing just this.
I have never used it myself but as it is an open source based OS it should be good. You can see just what it is doing. The hard part will be the coding translations, as things dont always translate right.
Any non MIUI based rom should be ok. The problem with that is CM is normally buggy and all the roms use the patch rom setup which is never really stable nor is it something I would trust as that is injecting stuff into a rom that I cant VET.
In this day and age one has to be careful with all these new toys that are coming to many markets across the world.
Remember, You get what you pay for. So if something is too good to be true then you have to find the catch.

You are right about the store, i was quite surprised when i found paid apps there. This is correct.
But i'm not sure if this is still the case, i saw them a year ago, now i couldn't find the apps,
maybe they've cleaned the store in meantime.
And a script removing apps isn't hard, just search for "updater-script remove apps".
BUT i've tried such script on Sony Xperia P, not in MIUI, i don't know if deleting Mi Store (com.xiaomi.mipicks) would cause bootloop or not.
I know that Mi Store enabled/disabled is region dependent, you can disable it when switching to another region in Beta rom.
But deleting? I know that when i've deleted Updater apk, or changed its permissions, it caused bootloop. Needs to be confirmed.
But with government spying - if you want to be honest - maybe we should ban all ROMs tied with Google, which means all Androids?
Remember about PRISM and Edward Snowden?
American's NSA (National Security Agency) ?
I have nothing to American people, just sayin.
But according to former CIA employee, Edward Snowden, Google joined to the NSA spying program in 14 Jan 2009.
I think that you simply have a choice - either give your personal data to American or to Chinese people. (or both).
You can minimize the risk by disabling for ex. Analytics app... etc.
But saying that chinese are spying... USA govt does the same
And better not looking for Echelon project...
But - the main topic here - yes, it's a good idea to remove Mi Store from roms.
One can always add it himself/herself, there are also other stores, F-droid, Aptoid, there is a choice
American companies aren't communist nor are they guilty of some of the most sever human rights violations in the world.

Okay let's get to this clear First of all XDA is successful open community that hides no secrets and doesn't present hoax
(note I won't release names in order of respect)
1 : the member that lately released rooted tot files isn't really the one that made the method he just processed it
2: there is a hidden tool that is really useful and helped him and he got it from someone that's how he worked through it
3 : of course editing some system partitions to add the root scripts such as sudo nautilus commands in Ubuntu .
4: The tool is created in a Chinese website and it is called LG professional tools Usually they were three separate versions.
5: With this tool you can cook everything with KDZ TOT (I mean extract repack edit etc.)
6: isn't it weird to find out the guy who used that method was asking how can i get that tool to use it for own business.
7: That's not all there are also things like Hardware Toolboxes such as Octoplus that support LG and Samsung as well for other GSM purposes.
8: After looking into several posts through that guy by saying "send me the KDZ link and I will add the root to it" I realized that he is friendly and is going to unleash root for all the models but then he started to take a back step in PM by saying my tool doesn't work I have to bypass tot to inject root to it and it's price is high (100USD per file) and my request was to unleash for H960 Int EUR model.
Conclusion : this guy is running into a real business of tot files some of them actually by the help of that tool that isn't his so what I want to say is to save your money and your enthusiasm for the real support that doesn't ask for money but you by yourself will send to him which is called donation or somehow an appreciation for what you did .
thanks >>

He made a facebook post mentioning the tool costs 2000USD OMG what on earth is that ,even tho it's not his tool!!!
But if he's the only/first one that was able to get his hands on the "tool" and then was also the only/first one to use it to create these files, what's the scandal?

That's not true he isn't the first one to get his hands on it the creator and some others did as well. it's the matter of how you master it in your own use some prefer it for nasty business some for their own use.
if this tool is leaked there is no way to stop any new LG models from being edited or rooted even if the bootloader is locked the scripts of it some are leaked but missing he's aware of being double crossed by someone
Some of the senior devs are aware of this unicorn or software. The problem is the people that have access to these unicorns but don't want to share.
The fact that he's charging for some tots and not others is not good practice and I understand your frustration. There was a bounty for root and if ppl pay there pledge there isn't a problem with that had he did get us root.

That's true until he realized that the bounty number is about hundreds of dollars so that's why its friendly for some variants but even thou that's not my point it's about the price he asks for and even the author that made that tool mentioned to use for own use. and what drives me crazy is that he's not getting to the straight point (I mean by saying some lame excuses )
Sometimes you have to think of it the other way, what will happen if the tools are actually leaked out to everyone of us, and doesn't that allow LG to patch such things up easily and hence providing better security but lose the access of root? I'm not encouraging this type of doing, but at least this puts such things into control and allow us to have root at the same time.
Some people out there are willing to take the risk, spend their money to get the tools to produce for us, and I known people who spend (a lot) just trying to grab such tools and provide root for the community. You may think that they are "earning" from this kind of business, and providing everyone with root. But you need to think about those people willing to risk their money to actually do such things for us and provided us with what we actually wanted in this community. Some of them merely asked to cover up their cost of spending for the TOT/KDZ and providing it for everyone, others are asking for donations so that they could cover up the cost for the tools itself.
Let's think of this as a win/win situation for the community. You get root, the person gets to cover his losses, everyone is happy.
And to be honest, for a junior member, you are complaining too much. You haven't seen the worse of the xda community yet.

That doesn't make sense because If LG was aware of security concerns they could've patched security into the download mode in order to accept only official updates from it's servers and that's it , Like Samsung ODIN method the csc files are extracted and repacked easily even for custom roms to be used .
he did not spent money on that tool as much as he gained from the back of it , I mean You are exageratting alot this tool is not a hack and it is a generator there isn't a counter for it to produce for limited time and if you were right then LG kdz extractor should've not been leaked
That's how the meaning of community is, unless you are talking about forum ouh and by the way the word junior member is just to pretend to be noob but you don't know what's behind that profile
Cheers

Well that's great Now I have an advice for you
If you know how to use this tool ..and you want to get credits but even not requested donations then wee all will be glad
If you don't know how to use it then.. then I know if you want me to use it and give you the link of tot uploads to be under your credits you are welcome as well you can pm me if you need
that's how we make community we are not competitors for money we are always available for help as members.
or else you can use it for your own use like the others and zip it then no need for this comment and you can just ignore it.

To me, all of what you're discussing is mainly speculation. Why and how he did what he did, is pretty much irrelevant. He was able to provide a viable root solution for a number of devices. Regardless of whether the "tool" used was widely distributed or not, he provided the solution. Unless he broke some of XDA's rules, there really isn't much to talk about. And unfortunately if something about it drives you crazy, that's kind of a personal issue.

It's on my work PC at an Inglewood office. I'll be there next week. Aye and I was probably the first to deal with a bricked V10 . Wasn't expecting anything in return as I too believe the community is a movement and personally believe that anyone making profit off of code here in the forums should not be here. Your work is appreciated, but i come from a time when forums was an exciting hobby everyone would share their ideas through. Aye But that's my opinion. I joined XDA and loved it from jump . The system pull that I posted was extracted via the LG program. It was already there, and was used to build the rooted tot. Just saved em a lil time. I had already spoken with jcase about building a tot off of it and confirmed that the data was there but building it not at 100% LG tot authenticity he would not proceed as it could lead to bricked devices. It could have been done but wasn't.
I'll post link when it's up.

First of all the thread is talking about exploitation if people got the method for their variants for free and the other variants haven't
And believe that mentioning I can give you the file for 100USD in aPM is called a trade and against XDA rules I believe that all the moderators know about that
And by the way I don't find it a personal issue as long as others as well having the same variants and expecting it to be released and it hasn't so it's a matter of fair for free of some variants and others should pay . so please cool it down

If there is something that's happening and you think that is against XDA rules, report it directly to the Moderator Team. The Moderators will fully look into and investigate, that's what they do. Threads can become very out of control otherwise.
I meant to say that if you were being driven crazy due to someone not communicating in a way that worked well for you, that is a personal thing. You're more than likely going to change that, and will just have to "deal with it"

How many times should I tell you that it is not personal it's driving me crazy because he said in front of everyone and in PM that send him the virgin file and he will add the root to it
And then he suddenly changed his mind so I see that anyone can get angry because he didn't get straight to the point
i hope you understand how members are feeling their variant is not chosen from the free one's and sitting for a solution .
And by the way I didn't want to report so that it won't go big
I was showing how this business was working for evryone and rising up hidden star ... If you are interested Sir in this thread then support us if you can but if you are here to judge me in a wrong point of view then just ignore the thread because i'm discussing it seriously.
