Need Help: android app market

i've just bought htc tattoo for my wife.and surprisingly there's no android app market..i did search and found com.android.vending.apk and try to install it through htc sync.installation was successful but sadly i cant download any applications..i stuck at starting download and nothing happens.is this the right vending.apk or can someone post to me vending.apk from our original tattoo?please.or i need to root my tattoo?but my phone is already unlock...and i also cant find facebook.apk for our tattoo...please help.
if android market doesnt come on the phone, the best way fix the issue is to flash an official rom from htc. rooting should allow you to install the market properly.
remember the official tattoo maket does not allow access to all apps, even thougn 95% of apps work flawlessly on the tattoo. i would highly reccomend the modified market posted on this forum. -I believe it should be possible to root and install this with without flashing your phone.
@havok123:
thanks for the reply..
mine is orginal htc ROM.dont you think so?i didnt flash any custom ROM.yet ive read that in some places htc tattoo doest come with android market, like in my country..
so you suggest that i root my wife's tattoo and install the patched android app market?
is there any other solution without rooting?i just dont want to break the warranty..
thanks for helping.
But what's if you go to warranty service and say, that there isn't any market. They must repair that. But even patched market is better I also think, that warranty service workers doesn't know what the hell is that ROOT, so they repair you phone whenever there is ROOT or isn't. But still there is a way to unROOT your phone, so it should regain warranty. Or maybe I wrong...

if you have just rooted your mobile you can allways make a hard reset
and get back to normal.
If you have just flashed a custom rom to your tattoo then you must
flash again official rom this time so you can get back to normal.

Root and Back to Factory State

I got the ASUS Prime just 2 days back. I want to try root and some custom ROMs. Once I try for few days I may just return it. Is it possible to root and install custom ROMs and if want to come back to factory state, it can be done easily?
Can you guys share some guide/Url for this?
No.
Learn to search.
to put it a little more eloquently, please do your reading. other users here on xda are sick of answering the same questions over and over.
to actually answer your question, no. you can root and revert back to factory condition and return it then.
to load custom roms and try dif things like that, you need to ulock the bootloader. doing so voids your warranty and you won't be able to return it after doing so.
as nhshah7 just said, you can root and revert back to factory, but if you unlock you won't be able to return it back because you will break warranty agreement, so you will have to keep it at the end.

Unroot

I have held back on rooting this phone because i didn't find clear steps on how to unroot. I however just came across this link that takes you to the stock tar file, and i thought it might come in handy. Please note I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS YET, so i cannot validate results. I guess i will go ahead and root now though.

Yes, it is possible to fully return to stock.
However be aware at the moment it will permanently flip a fuse so that it shows as having been hacked.so be aware Even after returning to complete stock that will still show up.and can be accessed if you try to return the phone. (Some places check some dont)
Google flash counter
And Samsung knox
For more info
Also tons of threads on these forums about these too.
Also all the files and info needed are on these forums under development.

OnePlus X missing "System Update" setting

hi everyone, i bought this phone Yesterday, but when i was looking for how to update it, i couldnt find the "system update" setting.
When i go to setting, then about phone, there isnt anything about system update..... I dont think this is good.... i have the stock rom, and i havent modified nothing, please help, this makes me no sense.
Did you buy it from OnePlus.net? If not, there have been OnePlus phones sold on third party stores with a modified stock ROM. A few people have come here with the same question and it has been a modified ROM. If you're in the US and have OxygenOS you won't have any bloatware installed like CleanMaster.

Okay so first, go to Settings -> About Phone. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on "Build Number" until it says "You are now a developer!". This allows access to the developer settings. Go to Settings -> Development and turn on "OEM Unlock". This is just to be safe in case something goes wrong.
Next you can download the full official OxygenOS rom from the OnePlus website. Here's the page for the latest version and follow the instructions they've written: http://downloads.oneplus.net/2016-04-20/opx/OnePlus_X_OxygenOS_2.2.1-X/

If they put out more OTA updates then you should be able to install them normally. I do recommend you go into the Developer Settings again and turn on OEM Unlock for safety

Samsung Galaxy J500F FAP/FRP removal

Hi all,
A friend gave me a Samsung J500F, which I want to use for my 3d printer , but the app doesn't install correctly (octo4a). I want to try a different ROM, but I can't flash TWRP because of the lock. I asked him if he remembers the original email he used, but he doesn't. I have tried to flash the stock ROM 6.0.1, but I just get an error that there was an attempt to do a factory reset.
{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
I already tried that. I can't open the privacy policy
You can try removing google account first, then allow oem unlock from developer options and then flash stock rom via odin.
Yeah that was the issue. I didn't have OEM unlock enabled, since in the video for rooting linked in the sticky thread didn't mention it.
