Infinite restart loop - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
I have a SE Live With Walkman (wt19i). Not rooted nothing modified.
I broke a digitizer and bought a new one. Replaced it and everything went fine.
Well at least to the point when I turned on Bluetooth. Phone immediately turned off and since then is in infinite restart loop. Sometimes I can see desktop for 1-2 seconds max.
I tired SEUS (SUS) but i learned that it is no longer supported. (What a shame).
I also tried PC Companion but well, its about an hour and it is still in "Initializing" state.
So I have a question is there a way to make my phone normal non-restartable again?
Please help me somehow. My knowledge about hacking/rooting/flashing is minimal. And "Buy a new phone is not a solution". Thanks in advance.

Damn dude just watch my video it shows you how to fix your device by flashing new software with FlashTool

[Q] weird behaviour with 2.3.3 update

I've been searching for the answer all day, so please don't bite my head off if the answer is somewhere obvious. Also my spell check is on the fritz so i apoligise in advance for the poor spelling.
Today i tried upgrading my x10i via the sony PC companion. All went well until the software asked me to restart the phone. It restarted, loaded up the OS and asked me for language etc. After clicking for language, the phone became unresponsive and then turned off.
My first port of call was to reconnect the phone to the PC companion. I pressed and held the back button the companion software picked it up and reistalled the OS.
Didn't work. Same behaviour as before.
I then tried SEUS and used the repair feature. Again it reinstalled the 2.3.3 OS. I restared the phone, and had the smae behaviour as before, execpt it started looping the restart. The phone would get into the OS main screen fine, and then restart over and over.
After that i got onto google trying to search for the same issue. Everywhere i went, people were saying that a software reinstall did the trick. I had tried that several times by now and so i decided to come over to xdadev and give a flash a try. I downloaded the flasher and the most recent rom from this thread.
The flasher worked ok, but i was getting the same behaviour with the restart loop. I then decided to flash back to 2.1, and this is where i had a small breakthrough, as when i finished installing 2.1 Update 1, the phone turned on and stayed on. However it didn't reconise my sim card. I played with it for a bit to make sure that it would say on, which it did, and then i powered it off to check the sim card. I gave it a polish and reinstered it. The OS reconised the sim card, and then started the restart loop again.
So obviously i'm thinking it's the sim card. I recharge the battery for a while, just to mek sure that the phone will stay on and then i try my wifes sim card. This time, did can't even boot fully and only gets as far as the sony ericsson screen.
After that i took out my wifes sim card and it started working normally again.
So now im curious. I decide to flash the phone to 2.3.3 again to see if it runs ok. Aside from one restart which i think was part of the install process, it works fine as long as there is not a sim card in the phone.
Since i've had the phone, i've done one upgrade aside from this one from 1.6 to 2.1 and everything worked fine. I've also had the same simcard since i've had the phone with no problems what so ever up until this point.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Things I forgot to mention:
1. The battery was 80% charged when i started the original upgrade to 2.3.3
2. During the troubles, i would try and turn the phone on, the green light would flash and it would vibrate but not turn on. If i left my finger on the on button, it would 'cycle' through with the green light and the vibrate sequence every few seconds.
Hey Krusty, I've been having a similar issue with my x10, I posted about it over here, maybe we can brainstorm together? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1209798
chances are this could be what you are in,
say good bye to your phone, it is permanently damage now.
http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/24287
Congratulation, there is a chance you got one of those faulty motherboard that can't handle updates resulting a burning in your motherboard.
You might as well open up the cover and smell if it give you a burning scent.
welcome to the club.

[Q] xperia mini pro black screen, refuses to boot. help?

About a week ago, maybe less, my xperia mini pro (gingerbread) notification led stopped working even when charging the phone. Thinking it was a software problem, I decided to factory reset it. It didn't solve the problem and I decided to just move on with my life since it isn't that important to me. With a then totally "empty" phone i updated it to ice cream sandwich just for the heck of it. Everything went fine until today.
When I wanted to unlock my phone to check if I had a text message, all it showed was a backlit screen with black on it. The back and menu button also lit up. When somebody called, the ringtone would ring but the screen stayed black. Took the battery out to turn it off and tried to turn it on again. Same thing happened, tried it few more times but nothing changed so I gave up. It didn't even display the sony logo when turning on.
A few hours later, when I try to start it again, it vibrates for a short time, then shows a backlit screen with black on it. Then it goes dark and after a few seconds lights up again. This goes on as an endless loop.
I have tried the SEUS tool. It told me my phone was updated but i tried to reinstall ice cream sandwich anyway, but it failed. And everytime the screen would lit up, the computer would make the sound when a usb is inserted; and when it would turn dark again, the sound when a usb is removed could be heard.
As I can't get into the recovery mode or any other mode I am at a loss on what I can try next.
At first I thought it might be the flex that was the problem but now I'm not so sure anymore.
The FUNNY part is that it happened today, TWO days after the 1 year warranty ended.
What options do I have?
Hope anyone can help me.

Try flashing a stock Firmware using Flashtools(if you don´t know how look at Tutorials Section)
If it doesn´t help, then is a Hardware Problem
That's really hard that the warranty just ended. Maybe you could ask a local carrier if sony would be so nice to repair it under warranty because I think it is a hardware problem and if your bootloader is locked and you never rooted and tried some things, don't try to flash the stock rom first, better ask sony :good:
If they won't do it, flash stock gingerbread rom and try to boot it again. But as you tell it it's hardware related

I was hoping it isn't hardware related, but you're the 3rd person now who told me that it is. I never rooted or anything, so I'll just go to the sony service center then. Hopefully they'll be so nice to give a little extension of the warranty. Hahah.
Thank you for replying.
The solution is Getting Flashtool, installing ADB Drivers,Downloading stock Firmware and flashing.
But if you don't want to try,Taking it to SONY would be the solution.
If your warranty is over, then the service center guys charge a lot :crying:
Goodluck :good: And you could ask an experienced guy in your area to help you flash!
:good:
How is it that you have only a one-year varranty? The carrier varranty is usually one year only, that is true, but the manufacturer varranty, at least in Poland, is 2 years mandatory. And it's written in varranty papers included in the box
Double check before you pay
Take out your battery fir a while
Then try to install a proper kernel and flash a stock rom with flashtool

Those are the advantages of being in the EU, which made it mandatory to have 2 yrs of warranty (1 by builder 1by re-seller i think), that doesn't work outside
I had the exact same thing happen to me. It happened a couple of weeks after I upgraded it to the official ICS. First I thought it was a hardware problem since my phone had fallen the previous day. I decided to try and do a software repair via PC companion which didn't help.
So, further convinced that it was a hardware problem, I brought it to the shop where I got the phone (it was still under warranty). They simply downgraded the software to GB. Problem solved.

[Q] Sony Tablets are Starting to Fail on me!?!

So this is quite irritating at the moment. Me and my mom both have a Sony Tablet S (SGPT111US/S). Now both mine and my mothers are causing difficulties right now, and both have very different problems. So I'll start off with my moms tablet since it may just need to be waited out for the problem to go away.
Mom's Tablet:
This was just a couple days ago, My mom says her tablet froze at 10:03 (like it really matters what the time it froze at is) on the cradle. She had to press the reset button to turn it off, however the unit will not Turn on or even go to the Android Recovery Menu to preform a factory reset. As of right now it is connected by the plug rather than being on the cradle. I'm hoping that this issue can fix itself since others have had this experience before and got theirs working just by letting it sit a couple days on the charger, however if you have any ideas on getting it working sooner that would greatly be appreciated.
My Tablet:
I honestly don't know what has happened. Until a couple days ago I turned on my tablet and after it boot up problems emerged out of random the second the lock screen appears every single app crashes, not once but continuously. Even the home screen will crash and continuously reload itself, so getting to any app won't be possible and even at that when i do get to an app it's already crashed and i'm back at the home screen. To help make matters worse, the tablet won't remove Apps permanently, i can uninstall them (oddly enough while every app crashes without them even starting the settings doesn't crash.) however if i reboot the tablet everything returns like nothing ever left. I have even went to the Android Recovery Menu to try to factory reset the device, but the factory resets doesn't even reset even though the ARM says it did. So i'm stuck with this crashing loop and a Non-Factory Resetable tablet. I have tried to see if maybe rooting the tablet could help, but not even the Tablet will load itself completely when connected to my Computer so rooting is out of the question as well. Also the Bluetooth and Wifi won't turn off as well.
In the end,
Both Tablets have the current update (4.0.3 RA5) and both are Not Rooted. They are out of warranty so last thing i want to do is call Sony to repair my tablets for a fee. I would also like to note my tablet has been sent in once for repairs because it was stuck looping the boot screen, so my tablet has had trouble in the past, but since then until now i have never had any problems. I will admit, i do sometimes install cracked apps, the app i installed just a day before all this happened was Minecraft 0.7.2.......I have installed it on my EVO and Walkman Z and no problems have occurred and they still have the game.
Please any help for these tablets will be Greatly appreciated. Please Will you help Me?

How's your mum's tablet doing right now? If the issue still persists after what you've tried, I'm thinking maybe just let it run out of battery, charge it back up and see what happens. Also, have you tried using the pccompanion software to redownload and reinstall a fresh firmware back onto your tab? It's a more 'thorough' reset method as opposed to a factory reset through the tab settings.

[Q] Problem with my xperia neo l

Sorry for my bad English.
Last week, when i tried to check a Whatsapp message, my phone didn't start up. There was no display. Whenever i try to switch it on, it does not start, just vibrate. I tried to repair it by Sony Companion and Sony update software, and after a full process, it says it is updated/repaired, please restart. But still there was no display. Sony software is detecting it and it is charging.
I have also rooted my phone 6 months back. So i tried to re flash, But i am not able root it again because i had unchecked the USB debugging option a few months bk and i am not able to start as the phone is starting up. So i have just re flashed it.
I took this phone to a Sony Service centre; they kept it for more than one day. Then I got a call that I have to pay 80 PERCENT of the cost of this phone for the repair. Next day when i went to get my phone, they just said "its has motherboard problem". So i took it back as i am not able afford 80% cost.
That if my Sony software is able to detect and repair this phone then how can there be a motherboard problem.
Please help

Now Try this :
1 - Remove your battery
2 - Reinsert and then hold the (go back) button and insert the usb cable keeping it connected to your computer.
3 - check if the green light flashes
4 - if it is flashing, then you will be able to flash your stock rom and maybe if there is any problem with kernal or your rom then it will be solved automatically.
5 - so flash your stock ftf and kernal after disabling the final verification checkmark in the flashtool
6 - once over, your phone should start without any problems if there is no problem with your display
Give this a try once.... Hope this helps
Hit thanks if it helps

[Q] Vanilla Z2 stuck at purple boot screen

I am in need of expert help.
Last night I rebooted my Z2 and it starts normal up until the purple screen with the wave pattern and then it just stays on that screen and wont boot further.
I have not unlocked or flashed any new firmware it's the stock Android 4.4.4 pushed by Sony. I tried an hard reset but still the same, I even let the phone run this screen until the battery was empty but still every boot it sticks at the same screen.
Only way to shut the phone down once this screen appears is power button and volume up. Any ideas how to get it to boot again? Phone is only 3-4 month old to. Maybe get hold of the original firmware from Sony?
Any help greatly appreciated.

According to Sony it sounds like a software issue and I should use PC Companion.
Will have to RMA it and wait 3 weeks for it to be returned. Weird never had issues with my Galaxy S3 even & CM11, 4 month old vanilla Z2 bugged out on me ;-(

Seeing how this most likely a software issue you could have easily recovered it using this it doesn't void warranty so you could have saved 3 weeks and the hassle of RMA it back to sony.
