High battery consumption (with Omnirom) - Sony Xperia X Questions & Answers

Hi!
Compared to the Fairphone 2, which has a battery of 2420 mAh, the battery of my Xperia X does not
last as long as the FP2. On the FP2 I used Lineage, on the Xperia X I use Omnirom. Both Android 7.1.2.
The battery consumption of the Xperia X is at least 30% higher than on the FP2. I did never install
gapps on both devices, but microg.
I see "over-counted" every day in my battery stats (see screenshots). The Xperia X is new.
Is there anything known about this?

C5 Ultra Battery Life

Here are my stats on my 4 day old C5 (from full charge to empty watching iflix around 20% brightness on LTE)
Omg. I was planning to buy this phone but paid more for a gs6e+ because of batyery life. I have twice the resolution, same battery and four hours screen time on 40% left. I was so happy about this phone and sony made this.
mine is almost the same .. poor battery life
i had t2 befor this and i've got 9+ hours of SOT
i am so dusappointed with battery life coz c5 battery is almost like t2 but there is so much def between them almost half life
wondering is it a software issue ? why this poor battery life ?
Yep android 5.0 is buggy and problematic.

Battery life twice as long on wifi vs 4G

Well it sort of explains itself. Battery life on my Samsung S7 is about 2 days with my usage when connected to wifi. When I shut wifi off and only use data I get a max of 1 day .... the battery drain is significant.
I am pretty sure that this is a android bug, because this is the second mobile I am experiencing this battery drain with.
Use to have a Sony X3 Compact and bought the X5 Compact cause I loved the battery life so much. Much to my disappointment the battery life of the X5 was about half that of my X3. I even experienced it draining a full battery and switching off during one night. I of course was convinced that the X5 must have had a defect battery and got it changed. It didn't help and after getting the device changed for a brand new mobile with no better result I demanded my money back.
So know I bought the S7 and the only thing I can pin this problem on is the "phone radio bug" that exists on the newer versions of android. My HTC One Mini and Sony X3 Compact running KitKat have normal battery drain running 4G. My HTC X5 Compact and Samsung S7 handsets are just going through the battery like crazy on 4G even though they should have much superior battery life.
It amazing how many people have this battery drain problem and yet there is absolutely no sign of any official statement on this to be find on the internet.
Please ..... anybody have any experience like this.

I might add I live in Cambodia. I don't know if this would have any influence? Probably shouldn't cause my mobiles running on android version before Lollipop haven't had this problem.

Battery drain... bad configuration or hardware failure?

Hi,
I'm trying to save my Samsung Galaxy S3.
I have to charge chinese golden 3000mA batteries every six hours.
After six months, batteries are completely wasted.
It's a battery eater... but I have no budget to buy an S7
Cheap phones have more or less the same features...
... and I love S3 cammera and its user replaceable battery (no more planned obsolecence, plz!)
It has installed Android 4.3, I9300XXUGNA8, kernel 3.0.31-2429075, compilation number JSS15J.I9300XXUGND5
After installing CM Launcher, and moving to Facebook Lite, the battery usage is:
screen 21%
android system 18%
android os 17%
google play services 8%
chrome 8%
gmail 3%
whatsapp 3%
waiting 3%
camera 360 3%
Also, sometimes when CPU is a little bit stressed its temperature raises.* You can feel through bottom zone of screen that it burns... could it be a hardware failure affecting battery consuption?
Any recommendation to have less battery consumption?
I'm open to change the ROM... or to install Ubuntu Touch if necessary
Thanks in advance
Buy this Luminous(LivGuard) Battery and I suggest you to try some custom roms and choose the best rom for you LiquidSmooth KK RESURRECTION REMIX LP RESSURRECTION REMIX MM with Boeffla Kernel Use greenify,Amplify and Disable services(To disable some useless running google play services permissions).
Screenshots from my S3. Rom- Liquid Smooth. Kernel-Boeffla
Hi Sureshtuty,
Thanks a lot for your response.
I'll try both the battery, ROMs and apps
I've read these days that Marshmallow comes with Doze mode to improve battery usage
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/rom-cyanogenmod-13-nightlies-i9300-t3272811
Do you think that could I save battery with Cyanogenmod-13 (Android 6)
Best regards
Are you sure yours battery have 3000mAh ? Screen use most of energy. Try reduce to 30. You tested other kernels or try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...ebf-tweaking-battery-saver-optimizer-t3401341 (most tweak in bulid.prop) ?
For now cm13 is not bad but not good.

Don't go for cm13, its battery hungry. If you want good battery backup use touchwiz ROMs or if you want mm then try haxynox(eats battery but less as compared to cm ROMs)

battery life

How do people get 4+ hour battery life on their devices. I am using moto g turbo and using official lineageOs 14.1, and i didn't get that much display on time.

other battery for s9 plus

hello! i was browsing on my facebook and I saw a mod on a Xiaomi phone that has an upgraded battery (meaning high MAH than the original one). the mod became possible by using other batteries from other phone brand (on this mod, the modder used a battery from an Asus phone) and interchanging the board of the original battery to the new and higher capacity battery. now I was wondering if I can do the same on my s9 plus, which currently has 3500 mah. my question now is there any battery (other than the original ones) that i can use to replicate the said mod? (higher battery capacity with the same size as s9 plus battery).
thanks!
for reference, the youtube video link below performs the said battery mod. the only difference is the battery used.
