Can't go back to stock - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have an issue where I cannot go back to stock (I'm using Resurrection Remix Oreo), using Flashtools it says that: 'The bundle does not match the connected device', and after that it doesn't recognize the phone anymore, and I uninstalled and updated drivers, I tried using Emma too, but it didn't recognize it (No program does.) and also, I tried all USB ports and USB cables, and using Recovery will always end in a bootloop.
What do I do?
Thanks.

you have two option:
Option 1: you can restore DRM keys and don't restart, go to Xperia Companion attache your phone via Cable and click software repair, and follow the instructions.
Option 2: Go to recovery and delete everything including system and data, and flash this " http://www.mediafire.com/download/d9...575_by_LaZ.zip " (credits are all to Laz, I do not own the rom nor created it, the link is taken from Laz's post) after that reboot, as soon it starts, go through the settings, when in, attach the phone to Xperia Companion, and click Software repair, follow instruction, and let the software go through, it will download the software and flash it, have some patience, when it finished it will say so, and you should be good to go. hope I helped, if you need more help let me know.

So, for some reason, after rebooting my PC like 3 times I got it to work and flashed it through Emma, now I'm back to stock.
Thanks for the cooperation, best regards.

Alternative flashing

Hey Guys!!
Ok, so I;ve been googling and searching for hours and hours and I'm still unsure as of what to do.
I have already updated an X10mini e10a successfully using xrecovery and flashing with binary's flashtool.
My oproblem is with another phone, same model same country etc.
I cannot update the firmware etc and baseband here using seus, so I tried to flash using flashtool. Device is rooted and had xrecovery installed.
THen it went wrong. I tried to update the baseband with flashtool and I had forgotten that I had not reinstalled xrecovery on the new generic rom.
I aslo managed to select the wrong update for flashing and now the boot is stuck in the famous bootloop. It actually arrives at the lock screen, but then crashes after 20 seconds.
The problem is that I can;t boot into recovery mode. Flashtool allows me to gain root access and even push apk files to the device before it reboots again.
I tried to install xrecovery from the menu using flashtool but it says restarting device in recovery but does not.
SEUS does not help me at all, it says there are no new up0dates, and when I try to recover, I get an error after the download has finsihed.
If I try to flash a generic firmware (the original one that i had already successfully installed before the screwup), flashtool tells me that I need to go into the device and enable usb debugging, which of course I cannot.
Is there a way I can do this in adb? How would this be performed? Would i just push a zip or are there a whole list of commands to do. I can;t seem to find a guide in the forums that applies to me.
Thanks guys!!
Get seus to the point where it sais turn off and hold back button while connecting the USB cable.
Then instead of turning it off, just press home+power button at the same time to reboot the device then release and try to get it right with the back button and pushing in the usb cable. Easy!
Might have to give it a few tries, I made it on my second try the first time I needed to do it
It's not a problem of getting the phone into service/flash mode, I have been doing it this way with no problem. SEUS just says I have the most up to date software, and pc suite gives an error when trying to repair.
I woul update with flashtool, but it tells me to turn on usb debugging which i obviously can't do.
Thanks for the help though, I only found out about the 3finger reboot earlier today. Had been removing the battery cable!!
I got that, but with SEUS i just press install anyways so I don´t get it really.. try removing cache on the SEUS program, maybe that helps
Done that too no joy either.
Im now completely out of ideas
did you try to install xrecovery from ADB Mask Controller?i dont know if its possible without usb debugging but give it a try or try to push files manualy if you can

I haven't tried that, I did a backup of the vanilla os before i flashed the rom so if it works I should be able to revert to vanilla again.
How would I go about doing this?
take a look here, is the app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868423
try to see if you can connect on your phone
I tried thap program, looks like I could have a lot of fun with it on my working x10mini!!!
It does not connect to my other mini. Flash mode gives no device connected, and when it starts to load, I can connect but only until the device restarts itself, I cannot push apks either as there is not enough time, or they just fail, and although I can install busybox, it always tells me it is not installed, nor is root. I think this might be because the superuser apk must be asking me a question, but as the lock screen crashes on boot, I am unable to access it to allow access.
Driving me crazy.
I think my last hope is to flash with adb, but i have no idea to do that.
Is there a way to install xrecovery e10a by adb? How would I do this?
If this works I can just restore my old image and start from the beginning again
Would I use sin files, or would I use

Repair it using PCCompanion
Adding to that, you may also find it easier to do it on a windows-based pc.
This is caused by did the full wipe and then reboot the phone. At this time, there is no system files in the phone so it won't boot. Need to repair using PC Companion or SEUS or Flash Tool.

Hi,I am this friend who cleverly full wiped with xRecovery. However, my windows7 computer still cant detect my phone, and proves to be a problem.Anyone can help me by giving me a step by step in getting my phone back into flashable mode? or help fix this?
Same kind of problem here with a friend's phone I usualy use a htc desire.
He updated hi X10i (stock, not rooted), since then there's no boot, only exclamation mark for a few secs, and no usb.
I tried "<="+usb/power on -> exclamation mark, no recovery.
It's not detected in any way by my pc (installed sony tools etc...), windows or linux (no kernel message at all), same usb port, same cable, my htc phone works in both.
What can I do ?
Thanks !

I had the same problem a while ago. Phone not detected by PCC/flashtool, SEUS, no xrecovery... started to panic
Then i read a post here somewhere about wotansever - its free but you gotta sign up.
http://www.wotanserver.com/en/
It detected my phone where all others failed and flashed it back to stock rom.
Try it - it works
Once you get it working again heres a great guide for flashtool (flashing/rooting/BL unlocking)

Not much more advice can be given with scant information like that
do you want to record a video and upload ?
i am uploading a video and the rom that i was using was 2.1 oficial with xrecovery root etc.
My advice remains the same..use pccompanion to repair your phone.
Download it, instal it, run it...it will sort you out.

attach phone to pc in normal mode
click on start in support zone
click on start in next window
Let it check your phone
click on repair
follow the instructions
If it doesnt work on pccomapnaion download seus and try that.
If it still doesnt work, uninstall pccompanion and seus, reboot pc, redownload and install them and try again.
also, you can goto to the driver folder in the flashtool folder and run ggsetup to install drivers on the pc
let me know how that works, because if that doesnt then you have a hardware fault on your phone, not a software problem
do i have a broken usb port ?

HElp Help Help!!!!
Ok. Judging by the fact that you're stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo, I'm assuming you're on the stock kernel and also on locked bootloader. Because you tried to install BlackHD Edition as well, I'm assuming you also have CWM.
The simplest method is if you made a backup in recovery and can access recovery. If you did this, you can simply restore the backup to get the ROM and data you were using before back. If this does not work properly (sometimes backups are screwed up somehow in recoveries), read on for the flashing method.
The X10 showed a green LED when you plugged it in which suggests that it can access flash mode (which is what I'd expect if you didn't tamper with the X10 so much as to break even that). If you have FlashTool, the following series of instructions should work:
1. Download the Xperia X10 stock firmware and move them to the firmware folder of the X10 FlashTool (the firmware can be found in this thread as well as the latest FlashTool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746)
2. Open FlashTool and press the flash button at the top left of the program
3. Select the stock firmware from the list and press ok
4. Instructions telling you to turn off and unplug your phone and plug it in with flash mode should pop up (hold back while plugging the cable in). Follow them and wait.
If you did this properly, you should have flashed the stock Sony Ericsson firmware with everything as it was when you bought the phone (if you flashed the 1.6 firmware) or updated the X10 to 2.3.3 (if you flashed the 2.3.3 firmware). That should be the most fail-proof and reliable way (I've saved my X10 from my stupid experiments through this several times already)
Just a little side note: If my assumptions are correct, you tried to flash the BlackHD Edition MIUI-based ROM through CWM on a locked bootloader and stock Sony Ericsson kernel probably without flashing the lockedbl.zip that's provided in the BlackHD Edition thread. Most FXP custom kernels work with that ROM without a problem, but the stock one just doesn't because it's far too different. You could have either chosen the locked or unlocked installation method on the thread (I know because I've done it before). The unlocked one requires an unlocked bootloader and a FXP custom kernel, neither of which I think you have. The locked method only requires CWM installation and for you to flash the lockedbl.zip after installation. I think your issue must have come from the fact that you forgot that last part, or some other strange error occured.

yours assumptions are correct.
About instructions to how to connect to flashtool, i know they. i click on flash button, select firmware and when pop up to plug-in, i do it...but don't work...don't connect...
As in, it doesn't recognise the device?
I think there's another way where you take the battery out and plug the phone into the computer. The green LED should light up for about 5-10 seconds (when it's in flash mode) where you have a window to select the firmware and flash. I haven't personally tried it, but I'm asking someone who has done it about how it's done. You might want to try that method as you can't really do much else with your phone right now. I'll update this post once I know the exact method and details

Once flashtool asks you to connect USB cable..connect the phone with the battery removed. THEN replace the battery while holding the power button and it should start up into flashmode.
It may even work without holding the power button...
Its strange because when stuck at SE logo you can't follow the on screen directions to get it to work

If your bootloader is locked, you can choose the option to repair phone in pc comp. Another possibility why your phone is not detected might be because of drivers.
It may also because of his usb not working , the problem might have started . I want to check out whether your phone is charging and i also want to know that in devicemanager your phone when connected in flash mode shows as "semc usb device "
Thanks

I flashed the wrong rom on my Xperia Z2, I tried fixing it by flashing tft file, but I couldn't even get the device into flashmode (Power + Vol up), It just never vibrates, when I put it in the charger it just keeps blinking red.
What's the proper fix for this? and is this a soft-brick or hard-brick? Please help.

Flashmode is not Power button + Volume up. But...
Connect USB to ur computer
Then Hold the Volume Down key on your phone while u connect the USB Cable to the phone.
If you successfully get to flashmode, then u can flash an FTF file for ur phone. (This will also wipe internal sd files if you don't untick 'data' under wipes) Then again, phone might not boot properly if you don't wipe as u said something about custom ROM.
OR Follow these steps I found on Sony website
1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
Tried using flashtool with Vol down buut

18/058/2014 23:58:26 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
I'm sure that I have the drivers installed as I tried earlier today to unlock the bootloader through flashtool (which didn't really work out) and it recognized the device just fine.
right now it doesn't even show the Sony logo..I'll try PC Companion method in seconds..
EditC Companion is asking me to make sure that the battery level is above %80, when I was flashing the new rom, the battery level was around %50, should I care about this, or is it just an extra precaution? because I don't really see a way for me to know the battery level.

I'm sure 50% is enough to install through PC Companion unless ur battery is bad.
And do you by anymeans use windows 8? If you do, Did you disable driver signature while installing Flashmode, Fastboot and Z2 drivers from the C:\Flashtool\drivers folder, or where ever u installed flashtool to.
I believe I didn't disable driver signature, I connected the device to a different usb port too just to be sure, my OS is windows 8.1.
PC Companion is updating the phone right now, I'll see how it turns out and report back to you, thanks.
Edit:It worked, my phone is alive, thank you, stanley <3
