Hey i installed this rom....
i did like this
i downloaded basebox or w/e from market i rooted my phone i installed xrecovery and i installed this rom but i have no signal on wi-fi eaither mobile network i keeps sayin no server i tryed everything and nothing works .... can someone help me out please?
i tried System Crash from Dev App and i tried to remove SD card and then facotry nothing works :/
first time same happend to me. Try to reflash it (worked for me). Now everything is OK
see the ABOUT THE PHONE, is the baseband showed?
if not, try reinstall the baseband
Reflash latest SE firmware, check you on bb54 as this definately works on this rom. Root, install xrecovery, boot into recovery then factory reset wipe cache dalvick cache and then reflash the zip. Should work fine, does for me. Good rom, very stable and quadrant of 1550, yay!!

This is pretty normal, reapply the baseband, it should work, if it doesn't install the rom again, this was what i had to do, don't know why, ow, now i remember, the baseband i download from the post i couldn't make work, then i download the baseband from the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960527 and applied the fiz right next reflashing the rom, but remember that the fix must be applied RIGHT AFTER THE ROM FLASHING you can't reboot.
installation CM 6.1.3 V006
i can't not install CM 6.1.3 V006
I used to run this Rom on V54 it was good, now i use stock Rom 2.1, Rooted, Jit2, BB 55
PS: i had follow the installation it said
E: can't chown/mod/system/bin/su
(No such file or directory)
E: Failure at line 7:
set_perm 0 0 04755 SYSTEM:bin/su
Installation aborted
Thank You all.
Similiar thing happened to me. I did as instructed, flashed it, then crash system and a day it worked and when i turned it off it never worked again. I just used SEUS to put it back to normal....

First of all hello to everyone and sorry for my bad english.
I have been in the forums for a few weeks now and I must tell I love it.
Okay now on to the topic.
I have seen manny people with issue's like rebooting for the Cyanogenmod.
Now here's what I did to let it work for me after I fu**ed-up the first time.
1: Using Pc Companion I restored my S.E. firmware version.
2: I did a factory reset ( options, privacy, factory reset.)
3: I formatted my SD card
4: I downloaded the Cyanogenmod from Wolfbreak and installed it to my phone and guess no more Reboots.
I hope that this solves the problem of manny people with reboot errors.
And again sorry for my bad english.
You dont need to restore anything with pc companion, just wipe entire phone whit xRecovery before flash CM 6.1.3 v4 just as Wolfbreak says in CM ROM thread
1. Go to Xrecovery and make a Backup of your current ROM (optional but i suggest it)
2. make following in Xrecovery
- do a Factory Reset
- Wipe Cache Partition,
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Wipe Battery Stats
3. Install Custom Zip and choose CM6.1.3-V4.zip

This is for people who fu****-up like me the first time (like installing from the wrong kernel version) they tryed to install Cyanogenmod. Because I tryed everything but nothing seemed to work for me except this method.

Unfortunately, about 99% of the times when things go wrong, come not by reading the information, either by too much work, thrilling moment, etc..
1. Hardly something gone wrong if you follow the instructions;
2. Hardly we nned to make an installation from the PCC or SEUS.
With Rom`s currently available, the entire installation is done through the xRecovery. 99% of the times that you end up having multiple loops had to do with bad version of the baseband.

this is what i have been doing all along, still i get reboots.
ALSO try running fix permissions in either ROM manager or in xrecovery under advanced options, that is why this feature is in both apps....To help fix fc and reboot problems when switching ROMS!!! ( Not just CM rom's any rom!!! )
Will help, but won't fix all problems!!
Best regards,
Chris

flash this
2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL_GENERIC_1232-9897.ftf
and this
X10i_58_baseband.ftf
with Flash tool, then get root and install xrecovery
now, in xrecovery, full wipe (chache, battery, etc), install cyanogen rom from wolfbreak and vuala!!! all you need is that
Can you guys do a simple test with a custom 2.2 / 2.3 ROM? Start root explorer, and kill it via a task manager.
Does your device reboot after a while?
Hi there.
I have problem with all ROMs. I used CyaNoComb v1.1. In CWM i tap fix permissions. When it get finished I reboot the phone, type the PIN and than... I openned some app and than error, I tried other app and than error too. I wiped data, patrition chache, dalvik cache, battery stats. Than I tried to install ROM(FroyoComb v1.6) and the phone several times stuck at bootanimation. Animation freezes and I can do nothing. I rebooted the phone, tried to go to Android but I can't. I several times tried to install ROM(few roms) but it do the same. Than i restored SE stock 2.1 from my backup and it works normally... Than i tried to do clean install of any rom but nothing changed. I restord from my backup and i want to update from SEUS but when I hold back and connected phone to PC it says:Failed to detect product. The product could not be identified. Please disconnect and try it again.
I tried several times but nothing changed. Please help, what should i do?
Can anyone upload his backup from clean install FroyoComb or other rom? THANKS
Are you aware that installing froyocomb 1.6 and slades - umm help me - 'slades' 6.0 as clean install (wipe user data) does not work as expected?
People who waited report, they waited about 1-2 hours until it finished.
This is a known bug and will be fixed soon.
So try prvious versions or better the CyaNo editions - this should work.
Maybe fixing permissions is no good idea in this roms. Use your backups to have a running systems - if you haven't any backup: why the hell not?
sent with my mini pro
I have backup only from Stock ROM... Going to try older versions...
edit: What a HELL?! Slade's better than Sonny Ericsson. CyaNo v1.3 booted perfectly. But I still prefer CyanoComb or FroyoComb
There is currently a problem with Froyocomb 1.6 and slades rom V6.... You cant just clean or fresh install them.... You should read the comments my friend lol but here is how u wud install froyocomb 1.6
From ure stock install root and xrecovery then wipe dalvik cache and factory reset wipe everything necessary then install froyocomb 1.5 .... Boot it once play around for a minute or two log in ure google account and then go back into xrecovery, wat u will notice is that it becomes orange and this is clockwork mod recovery better than xrec its still the same dnt worry.... NOW WHAT U DO IS .... Without deleting anything, install froyocomb 1.6... It shud work coz thats how mine did hope it helps if not please ask

Have you tried other 2.2 ROMs such as ____MIUI and 2.3 ROMS?
I tried this rom once and it works: MIUI_xperia_TripNRaVeR-v1.0.9.zip
Never tried 2.3 roms because no camera driver (i thought)
And i liked wolfbreaks rom!
Anything i could try?

I have tried some other rom and they keep rebooting or no signal before too, even though I am in the right BB. I guess for some rom it's just not meant to be used for the country you are at (because of service provided, etc)?
Hmm strange, Because Wolfbreak v006 works good.
I live in the Netherlands, can someone confirm working TW V008 rom or Achotjan rom in the Netherlands??

Wolf break will restart a few times when you first install it.
It does this to get signal and stabilize the BB.
Make sure your SIM is inserted.
Mine does this 8 to 12 times then it will become stable.
Yesterday, i left my phone alone for 20 min. So i think 15-20 reboots. But it not become stable...
Sent from my SEX10 using XDA App
You have to make sure you flash in the correct pattern with the correct rom.
Also if "Factory Reset/Wipe Cache Partition" then you don't need to format the cache again and wipe the dalvik partition.
I did this, is this the right way?
- install via SEUS (firmware 2.1.B with BB 67)
- root and xrecoveryV0.3 via flashtool 2.9.1
- install rom via xrecovery (Factory Reset/Wipe Cache Partition/Format Cache/Wipe Dalvik Cache)
- install custom zip TW V008
Then it keeps rebooting.
Now trying above.
(but no scard with in the phone while installing via SEUS)
and shall try more reboots 30 mins)
is it a idea to format SD-card?
I had the same problem.
Flashed custom kernell addon and the restarts stoped.
Thx All..
It works now,
For me the tric was to DISABLE SIM PIN!
Some how, when you disable the pin, the phone have more time to get signal and become stable before is restarts itself
(i also did get after entering the pin, Simnetwork lock popup)
I did fresh install Seus/Flashtool/Xrec. and boots 2 times to become stable!
I was trying since TW V008 came out so i'm happy now!

Step to instal custom ROM :
1. copy ROM to sd card
2. boot in CWM or xrecovery (see the ROM instalation requitments)
3. factory reset/full wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache.
4. instal zip from sd card (chose the ROM)
5. reboot
i think you can't instal GinggerDX v 15 with Xrecovery, you must instal with CWM recovery

Don,t use xrecovery to install the ROM, most rom now installed with cwm recovery not xrecovery.
here thread to instal cwm recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257701

Ok guys n gals
I have an Xperia X10 which is locked to the Three network. I have rooted it and also installed xrecovery using the latest flashtool.
I have installed the link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353584 to enable me to run MIUI ROMS.
Basically it is for locked boot loaders and installs:
CWM5 and LockedBL.zip.
I have downloaded Xperia_MIUI_Engineering V02 via CWM5 doing a factory reset and clearing all user data and Dalvik cache beforehand..
Now.. ROM work fine great on everything except..... ha ha making a phone call!!
I have signal everything etc but when I go into an existing contact I get an Android crash..
"The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"
The options are then Force Close or Report to MIUI which I have done both.
Any ideas anyone?

well, is usual that you have some bugs using roms with the locked bootloader, try different rom or FIX PERMISSIONS via Root explorer.
Im using MIUI Oodie Prime and i have to say that is beautiful, try that one, it is more stable than Engineering
I tried the Oodie Prime..after a factory wipe, cache etc.. Now after installation I get the 'Sony Ericsson' startup, the (CWM5 Recovery) XDA Developers has disappeared so I can no longer boot back into CWM5 Recovery and I now have it stuck on the Oodie Startup screen and no further. I have to remove battery to reset and then rebuild with generic Android 2.3.3 etc.. and re root and xrecovery..
Try a different kernel, I had the same issue, you can use either oodies fxp kernel or doomlord v06 kernel. I've tried both and prefer the doomlord one.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Okay I fixed it for all of the ROMS that I was trying Doh.. I was installing the LockedBL.zip before the ROM..didn't read the instructions thoroughly..Works perfect now with a full wipe and ROM install and LockedBL.zip AFTER the ROM install
Will close the thread now.. Thanks for all your help.
